Rick Perry calls on Donald Trump to withdraw from the presidential race

    http://finance.yahoo.com/news/rick-perry-calls-donald-trump-182523769.html

Real-estate magnate Donald Trump's latest comments were a bridge too far for many top Republican presidential rivals. And at least one candidate wants him out of the race.

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) said Trump should be disqualified from running for president.

"His attack on veterans make him unfit to be Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed Forces, and he should immediately withdraw from the race for President," Perry said in a statement.

When are the debates? Three or four weeks away? Looks like a train wreck to me.

Of course Rick Perry calls on Donald Trump to withdraw.

Of course the bootlicking establishment RINO is going to call for The Donald's head. Of course!

What would be news is, hearing about an establishment Republican who doesn't want The Donald gone.

Hey man, The Donald is still the Republican front runner.

Of course all the other candidates want him gone, right? :)

Look at what Perry actually said:

Perry is lying. There was no "attack on veterans". Only an attack on John McCain. I have quoted exactly what Mr. Trump said, and there is no way it can be mistaken for anything other than an attack on John McCain.

Perry is just another lying establishment bootlicker. He's a RINO, he's the next best thing to a Democrat.

IF Trump lasts long enough the Republican voters in the Primaries will also add their voice that Trump needs to go. So how many years did Trump serve his Nation?

It was funny when Trump said Perry's IQ needed to be tested and that Perry should get some new glasses!!

Nope, running for public office is not actually serving anyone but himself, heck even he is not so stupid as to believe he could even get the GOP nomination.

“He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured? I like people who weren’t captured.”

Trump attacked every war veteran who had been captured. Many never made it back. Trump's comments are derogatory, rude and juvenile. I can't imagine any war veteran who wouldn't see them as such.

Comparing Rick Perry to a Democrat is a sure sign that something's in the air. I dunno...the comment I'm starting to believe is McCain's; that Trump stirs up the crazies.

    Whoosh.

Mr. Trump is putting his personal credibility on the line for the benefit of the United States.

Or.... what did you think the issue of border security was all about?

I can. I was talking to two dozen war veterans last night, and not one of 'em had anything bad to say about Mr. Trump.

Rick Perry is a bootlicking RINO. No real conservative is interested in anything he has to say.

In fact, no real conservative is interested in Mr. McCain either.

Real conservatives wish the likes of McCain and Perry would just go away.

And hopefully Mr. Trump can help make that happen.

Which is why he needs the support of real conservatives right now.

The faster he can clear the deck of all the establishment RINO's, the better off we'll all be.

And if Jeb is the last man standing, I hope Trump kicks his butt too.

In my view, having the RINO's gone is ultimately much more important than electing a Republican president in '16.

Exactly! Couldn't have said it better myself. The libs just don't know what to make of The Donald, they have no idea why he's doing this. It's really funny watching them trying to scurry around even while their jaws are hangin' on the ground, y'know... :)

But.... how can I say this.... I really care deeply about America, all things considered. I think the political to-and-fro is much more valuable than any partisan advantage. So every once in a while, I throw the Dems a bone, just to see what they'll do with it. I tossed 'em one a few moments ago, on this Trump thing, let's see what they do with it.

I don't have a favorite candidate yet, but this early Trump brouhaha is the most hopeful thing I've seen in American politics in the last 20 years. Now if they could just get rid of the media-manufactured conventions, and return to the smoke filled rooms....

I'm of the "let's get all the information on the table, and let the chips fall where they may" bent. That is my view of this election, at this point in time. The first part of that is the most important - getting all the information on the table. (Hint: Hillary's fighting that tooth and nail). I would like to see Trump's military deferments too. I would like to know if The Donald has had a genuine political epiphany, or whether he's just being his usual blowhard-for-profit self. (Not that it even matters so much, at this point.... I'd just like to know, just in case the Donster makes it through the primaries).

But yes, I agree, the liberal response to this Trump thing has been the single most disconcerted response I've seen out of the Democratic party in the last 20 years or so. It's very noteworthy just on that basis alone. Seems they're having difficulty formulating the appropriate talking points! LOL :)

We have had twelve Presidents who were former generals & none were worth a damn as CinC. Military experience does not = competence. What we need is a "firebreather" like Trump who has nothing to lose and doesn't need the money. At the MINIMUM he is throwing the immigration issue in the face of America and making people see it for what it is as well as force other candidates like the RINO's Perry & Christie to address it.

How? I see him as serving his ego, as always. First his ego, last his ego, always his ego.

We don't need talking points, we just watch the circus and eat the peanuts. Let the republicans tear each other to pieces.

    Agreed!

You don't get things done by being PC. (Or if you do, the things you get "done" are entirely worthless).

I fully agree - we need a CEO now, not a "community organizer".

Many people deal with Trump for many reasons, but all who do so realize that the transaction is at their own risk and they must keep their eyes on their wallets while not letting their coat and hat be stolen in the meantime. The man makes Vladimir Putin look like Washington.

    Exactly right.

And maybe that will be enough to get our politicians' heads out of their butts.

    From both parties!

Are you kidding? Don't you see how confused these idiots are, by anything and everything Mr. Trump is doing?

You're exactly right, Mr. Trump is a formidable businessman and none of our politicians are.

Donald Trump is showing these (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s very clearly that he can eat them all for lunch, any time he damn well pleases.

That's why they're scurrying around like the little cockroaches they are right now, 'cause someone just turned on the light.

Thank you, Donald. Even if you don't win, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You labor under a misconception. Businessmen are babes in the woods when they deal with politicians. Businessmen play by rules. Politicians make up their own as they go along

    It's a little bit like....

Exactly the opposite is true in today's world.

Businessmen buy the politicians, then they tell 'em what to do.

Ah, poor misguided soul. You should ask George Washington what his thoughts were on office, and whether or not it was public service. In his day, it was most certainly seen as service to countrymen, service to the people. Because who in their right mind would take that job and therefore the responsibilities that came with it?

You act as though POTUS is the same as the USPS. I will agree with you that merely running for office isn't the same as serving the country, especially if one didn't hold any prior offices until now. This of course is merely on the political spectrum, and doesn't include my thoughts on economic service to this country. And in which case, IMHO Americans who invest in America are doing our country, its workers and our economy a tremendous service.
