That's from 1999. Reagan was a liberal once too. Big deal.

    Not so loud.

It's to early to bring this up but the informed already know this.

What Trump is doing is bringing up issues, important issues to the forefront than most of the Republican candidates don't want to talk about or debate and all; of the Democrat candidates want to ignore.

Kick back and enjoy the next 12 months, it's entertaining.

Ok, hold up. Universal healthcare, ban on assault rifles & longer waiting period for guns are NOT left wong ideas. In all of the western world even the conservative parties support those..

Reagan made the similar decisions WHILE he was president.

P.S. It's fun to watch you call everything not extreme "Liberal":machinegun:

Bookmark this webiste, it gives you a better idea of where candidates and other politicians stand on things, or when they held a particular view, or what they've said about certain things.

    Here's Trump's profile.

    Clearly more conservative than not.

Trump says whatever the audience he's trying to reach want to hear.

You won't find any policy statements, positions or plans on his website, and the bobble heads that are fawning over him right now don't even notice.

Trump and his campaign manager figured out the he could get a summer's worth of free publicity just by punking the Fox audience.

Fox's demographic is a lot narrower than the GOP's as a whole. Fox, as the citidel of the angry white man, has always been the home to the lunatic fringe.

They're easy to work. All you have to do is scare them, particularly with images of people of different colors, nationalities and religions, denigrate the poor (especially if they don't look like you) and beat your chest with armchair patriotism. You can throw in God and guns for a topper.

It's the same formula Fox, Limbaugh and the rest of the right wing infotainers use, and it hits the same target.

Trump (and Roger Ailes) both know that the lunatic fringe is driving the right wing media buzz and that the rest of the media is following along like sheep, alternately horrified and fascinated. Like the rubberneckers at an auto accident.

This is the untimate con job. And the cons are falling for it yet again.

And the Fox tail is wagging the GOP dog.

It's an essential part of the strategy. Fox is talk radio with pictures, and right now, the lunatic fringe is driving the noise level in the GOP primary process.

Roger Ailes had decided that he will use Fox to pick the GOP Presidential candidate (his choice is John Kasich, BTW).

I think anyone with any common sense would take pause at the fact that you didn't get any of this from Trump.

He has no positions on issues on his website. And your list is an amalgamation of previous quotes assembled by a third party.

Even Herman Cain had a gimmick. Trump knows that he can fool the suckers without it!

It's true, so why would it be inappropriate to acknowledge it? Totally within context of the post in its entirety.

And as President, Reagan gave us amnesty and signed the Hughes amendment which banned all manufacturing of fully automatic weapons for civilian use.

And as Governor, Reagan banned loaded open carry in the California.

    Enough said!

Dude, 'ontheissues' treats everyone the same. They analyze pols and candidates based upon what they've said, based upon what they've voted on. Take another look.

And Obama didn't believing gay marriage in 08. So?

I'd believe in Universal Healthcare too if it didn't degrade what we have into sh1t. I'd believe in an assault weapons ban if it truly ONLY went after actual assault weapons, like full-auto SAWs, not a .22 rifle that looks really scary. And if a dreamer has proven that they're brilliant, I don't mind keeping them. But lets get real and admit, MOST illegal immigrant children are NOT geniuses.

Precisely.Ronnie Reagan was a democrat. He switched probably around the time he
saw how being President of the Screen Actors Guild with a lot of Liberals
{ far fewer than today } could turn Commie, almost overnight.
    Therefore the need for Joe McCarthy's HUAC { House Unamerican Activities Committee }
to expose those like Alger Hiss and them Rosenbergs.
Michele Bachmann earned Chris Matthews immediate attention on her
first visit to - Hardball -.She brought up the notion of the Mainstream media doing
an expose on how Patriotic our Politicans are or aren't.Miss Bachmann basically was
questioning the Patriotism of then candidate Barack Obama.
That was the start of the MSM's Immediate hatred and persecution of the
wonderfully Patriotic and brave politician,Michele Bachmann. She was basically
forced out of Politics due to EXTREME attempts by lefties and Dimocrats via
    character assassination.

Yeah Trump is actually a moderate on most issues but being a moderate at this stage of the game won't get him noticed or win him the Republican primary. When it comes to general election time you will see the normal tack to the center almost every candidate does. The main appeal of Trump is he is a loud mouth New Yorker with zero regard for PC and has a few billion dollars to prove he is capable and not an idiot puppet of multinational corps who don't care in the slightest about America.

Just like Obama, his views have "evolved". At least Trumps views have evolved correctly.

It's still an amalgamation of quotes assembled by a third party website. I didn't say anything at all about whether it's accurate, fair or not. But the fact that no one here can produce anything other then sound bytes to define what Trump is supposed to be for would be troubling to anyone who takes electing a President seriously..

You won't find anything of the sort on Trump's site. The guy is all bluster and no substance. He's the biggest con man in politics since Herman Cain (Trump is using the same playbook).

    Go look. I dare you!

It's not confusing to me. We're inundated with illegals, and he's the only one with the balls to confront the problem. I'm almost to the point of being a single-issue voter myself.

    And you believe him?

Trump's evolution is not because he changed, but rather that he is trying to win the conservative base.

Once the conservative base is won, Trump will continue being who Trump really is and that is a liberal.
