yes and more so there is a difference between book learned and intelligence
some one that is book learned memorizes what are in books but doesn't know how to apply it in the real world they do good on test but fail when needed to be applied
Trump on the other hand is intelligent he was able to apply what he has learned and become successful very successful in applying it

you must think Trump was successful in his construction ventures because he knew how to pour concrete, how to erect steel, how to run wiring and how to hang doors
He more then likely doesn't have any knowledge in doing any of that he was successful because he has a vision on what he wants what people want what will make money and knowing the right people to make that vision happen

'Trump' and 'intellectual' should never be used in the same sentence-unless as an example of an oxymoron.

Remind us how many times Trump declared bankruptcy. I'll save you the trouble-and some want this idiot in charge of America's finances? http://www.forbes.com/sites/debtwire/2015/08/18/a-trip-down-donald-trumps-bankruptcy-memory-lane/

You know how boring and predictable your responses are these days ? Every topic is changed to Obama in order to avoid even minimal constructive criticism of a guy you like. You have absolutely no credibility to many on this site because you're a one trick pony.

Making comparisons to other empty rhetoric is one way to show your particular bias. Truth hurts.

And his bankruptcies show he does not always do so good in his visions either. That said, Politics is not the same as Business, no matter how successful or not in Business does not prove they know how to operate in the Political system. Trump makes many statements but when pushed to provide details his answer is to just trust me, I expect more from someone that wants to lead the most powerful Nation on the Planet. Heck he could not even tell us his thoughts on the Bible or his beliefs when pressed yet he invokes the name of God on a regular basis, that to me was very telling. Trump is all talk but the odds of him being able to do a thing are slim to none, especially since both Republicans and Democrats would be opposing him at every turn in Congress.

So you want to replace one "Hope and Change" with another version? Brilliant, just what this Nation does NOT need.

You mean comparing the two as the same means I want one over the other? How did you get there?

So having money and winging it in front of a microphone is directly related to how smart one is. I guess we can do away with all those tests we give school kids

I'd love to see a Trump/Carson ticket this year. In either direction.

    Trump/Carson
    Carson/Trump

The reason is, I'm tired of professional politicians.... and those two are not. They also offer a nice balance between political correctness and telling you how it is.

Trump says a lot of things that people have been wishing to hear from a candidate..... but he is very brash, too..... a bit too brash at times. While I'm not completely turned off by that, there are times you can't just cuss out Putin, etc, during diplomatic relations.

I'd rather have Carson/Trump a little more than Trump/Carson.... but if either of them are on the presidential ticket in 16, I'm voting for them.

I'm also about to have to change my voter registration card due to a move, next week. I'm thinking about registering as a democrat, so I can vote against Hillary, but then vote Republican later.

Hope, Change and Rainbows worked really well in 08. Obama said absolutely NOTHING back then, besides short, easily digestible, vague talking points. People ate that sh1t up.

Probably the second post I have made about Trump. I am curious about his popularity and guess it is because people are just tired of PC. IMHO

No, that's what the bobble heads in the right wing echo chamber keep telling one another.

Barack Obama laid out his ideas in 2008. He wanted to stimulate the economy to stop the collapse (done), he wanted to get us out of Mr Bush's war in Iran (done), he wanted to fight the real battle against Al Quida (OBL is gone), he wanted to increase incentives for alternative energy (done and in progress), he wanted to move toward health care for all (done), he wanted a more nuanced and engaged foreign policy than the bombs and bluster of his predecessor.

You didn't need media to tell you what to think about Obama. You only needed to watch him without a tainted lens. Of course, if you watched him on national news, or read about him only in major publications, which is how most people saw him, he would look rosy. THAT's ALL THEY SHOWED. Affirmative Action POTUS.

So talking points are fine if they come from a Con? Yes people eat up that "stuff" as we can see within part of the GOP.

That is a no or better yet, ambivalence. It is awfully early in the game and would like to hear what everyone has to say, D, R, Libertarian who gets little chance to debate. I expect the debate tonight to be entertaining. That Trump is so popular has me stumped really but like I said, I expect it is because he is not PC and people are tired of PC and also of politicians talking in polled sound bites.
