I think you're right about that. Scott Adams, Dilbert creator, has been chronicling on his blog just exactly what Trump is doing and how he's doing it.

I have no idea what that was supposed to mean. I listed a few very specific commitments that Obama made in 2008, and noted that he had accomplished most of them. That's a far cry from your assertion that there was no substance to his 2008 message, even though right wingers love to repeat that empty claim.

I don't know what any of that was supposed to mean. I listed several specific commitments that the President made in 2008, most of which he has accomplished. That's a far cry from the false narrative that there was no substance to Obama's 2008 campaign.

I called it ! I told you guys yesterday in this thread before the debate that Trump needs to have more substance in his speeches and his debates. Fiorina did a fantastic job last night because she spoke with heart, conviction, and actually had solid ideas. I may not agree with her on all things, but she stood out.

I was mocked and insulted, but I feel vindicated.

You haven't been paying attention. He didn't say some were criminals, he said " And some, I assume, are good people!"

    - - - Updated - - -

You act as if this is a choice between Obama and Trump. It's not. Obama is retiring to Hawaii in about a year and a half.

Really? Do you realize that if Trump had just invested the $200 million or so he inherited from his father in a S&P 500 indexed fund in 1983, he would be worth about $15 billion, vs. the $9 billion he is worth now. He's a mediocre businessman at best.

    - - - Updated - - -

Actually, IMHO, he's the ultimate RINO.

On that we agree, he is a Liberal or a Conservative when it serves his purpose, heck many were surprised he did not run as a Democrat. He know how to play to a segment of the population but the majority see him for what he is and the more he speaks the less his chances become.

By the time Obama took the oath of office (twice, he didn't get it right the first time) the economy was no longer in threat of collapsing. The recession was officially over in June of 2009 but over six years later there still hasn't been a full recovery. A slimy snail moves faster than Obama's economy. What you are seeing is that the uniformed or misinformed have gotten use to the status quo. The millennials are to young to even know what a vibrant economy is. 1/3 of those millennials between 18 to 34 years of age are still living at home with mommy.

And today my son along with 3,000 other Marines and soldiers are back in Iraq fighting Obama's war. It was Obama who originally armed ISIS.

Still can't believe how many thought that Al Qaeda was all about Osama bin Laden thinking that Bin Laden was the master mind of 9-11 when it was Khalid Sheikh Mohammed who was the actual mastermind of 9-11 and he was captured in March of 2003 and G.W. Bush threw his ass into Gitmo.

While Obama lied proclaiming that Al Qaeda was "being decimated and was on the run" the truth was that Al Qaeda was running all over the Middle East and North Africa, getting larger, morphing into other factions (ISIS) and is more powerful and dangerous than when Obama first entered the White House.

Have you compared your electric bill with one from 2008 ?

Where Have All the Green Jobs Gone? :roflol: -> http://www.thenation.com/article/where-have-all-green-jobs-gone/
Surprise: Obama’s ‘green jobs’ stimulus was a flop -> http://www.theblaze.com/blog/2013/07/25/surprise-obamas-green-jobs-stimulus-was-a-flop/

For many they no longer have their doctor and many can't afford to use Obama Care.
And today the entire Middle East and North Africa are a basket case, Syrian refuges along with ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorist among them are flooding into Europe and I'm sure Obama wants some of them to come to America.

Putin loves Obama and the chi-coms have taken up residence in the South China Sea.

He has more than enough substance to win a GOP nomination. He just needs to keep talking about how everyone who comes from Mexico are drug smuggling rapists who want to steal our jobs, and how he wants to make American great again by hiring bestest, most classiest people he can find.

GOP voters have him at the top of the polls, despite the fact that he has never one laid out a single detail of the costs and economics of what he says he will do, actually detailed what his plans actually include.

This point is BS. At this point in the campaign Obama had outlined plans for stimulus spending, health care, foreign policy, withdrawl from Iraq, an Afghanistan. Moving priority back tot the hunt for Osama bin Laden, Comprehensive immigration reform.

Just because nobody bothered to read them because they were obamorphined on hope and change doesn't mean they weren't there. In fact I think if more of his voters had read them he would of lost support because they were all pretty moderate. What he wound up passing was pretty moderate. Obama has been consistently a lukewarm Democrat. There is no comparison though in his proposals at this point, and Donald Trumps.

I went to Trumps website the issues section has one tab Immigration. That's it. He isn't just lacking content he's lacking even the shell of content. It seriously causes me to question his desire to be president. It is not that hard to hire some policy coaches and figure this stuff out certainly not hard for someone of his wealth.

Trump as two things going for him he's BILLIONAIRE and he can easily outspend anyone else even without PAC money d also means you can't buy him. And he's true political outsider which is appealing to a lot of people.

In addition to that the average person voting isn't a deep policy person outside their interests I care about keeping my SSI and related benefits so whoever seems most likely to boost that will get my vote, and Trump being a businessman would be good at economic and business interests I would think he is a BILLIONAIRE regardless of failed attempts that's to me a good thing. I also share a concern for illegal immigration and defense of the nation and think his willingness to work on those is good. He might get my vote if the other choice is Biden or Hillary.

    I agree.

This debate showed that Trump needs to be able to discuss policy specifics, not just say things will be terrific, or he'll know what he needs to know when the time comes. Rubio and Fiorina are not exactly old foreign policy hands, but they were well coached and briefed and were able to look like they knew what they were talking about. Trump needs to start boning up on these issue, or people will get tired of the shtick and lose interest in him.

Just look at this forum. He's pandering to these kinds of people. They don't need substance. They like the insults and embarrassing behavior from Trump. Trump reminds me of someone on one of these forums running for President. Except he has billions of dollars to make it actually happen. It's beyond embarrassing, but just look around. He'll lose when it's time for the normal people to come out and vote. He has no substance, just an ability to insult and use logical fallacies to make the impression that we should just trust him because he made a lot of money, haha.

    It's like

"What would you do in Syria"

"I made billions of dollars making difficult decisions and Jeb Bush's brother lead to Obama being elected"

I agree. He has said he will appoint experts and let them do their jobs, but he does need to step it up on actual policy.

Good God, no. There's no way Trump is that stupid.

Trump is drawing attention to the other candidates, which is good, but I think he's near the end of his silly ride.

Hmmm... sounds like you are evoking some made-up god.

Trump MAY be clever as a FOX... but truly wise/honorable, he is NOT.

Doh! I compared his intellect to 0bama's. You're the one who worships 0bama. 0bama is one stupid drooler. He fell for the kid clock maker, lol. I doubt Trump would have.

And yes, I believe Trump is wise and honorable. One look at his kids tells you that. He seems to have done a fine job with them.

Trump compared to Obama, is essentially a joke.

If you are willing to promote Trump, I'm not going to try changing your mind. Even so, I would tell anyone that Trump's overall intellect does not compare with President Obama's... especially where the skills/knowledge to serve as President are concerned.
