The video Carly cried about was actually about stillborn !

Planned Parenthood notes that one photo actually portrays "a Pennsylvania woman’s stillborn son, which was used without her permission and falsely passed off as an aborted fetus in an earlier video" by the Center for Medical Progress; the video of a kicking fetus comes from "the discredited Grantham Collection, an old anti-abortion archive based in Florida"; the audio splices together three different CMP stings.

"This fake video doesn’t show what you have claimed," Dawn Laguens, executive director of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, writes in the letter to Fiorina. "Simply put, the video you described at the debate does not exist, and the video you’re now asking people to watch is not what you claim it is. This fraudulent video is beneath a serious candidate for the presidency, and you should take it down immediately."

My take - not that facts matter to the religious/far right, but Carly was flat out mislead by a video that was doctored and then propagated the lie. And now that she's been called out on it, she's doubling down. She's turning into the Hillary Clinton of the right wing. Instead of just admitting she made a mistake, she's going to dig a deeper hole.

 

I can't imagine that Carly Fiorina is so politically nieve that she would hitch her star to the Right to Life Movement. They're box office poison to just about everyone EXCEPT the religious right.

And that part of the spectrum has NEVER elected a President, much less secure a nomination for one of their preferred candidates.

Perhaps she hopes she can play Vice President to the Trumpster, or whichever crackpot emerges.

Of course, if the cool head emerge, and the nominee turns out to be Bush or Kasich, Carly will have to find an new cause.

 

Could have sworn there was testimony that the only "editing" was taking out bath room breaks and such.. So i dont see the standing of this "splicing" claim.

The stillborn's mother has already admitted it. You're unwillingness to be moved by facts is scary and sad.

 

In the video the woman says the heart is still beating. The picture of a still born is moot and just PP desperately deflecting.

They have not been investigated.. There have been investigation in states that do not do fetal tissue sales. There are countless threads on this... Nothing but talking points and insults from you still..

Yet the Republicans have often been happy to take the "moral high ground" when it comes to letting men, women, and children die because they don't have cash for basic medical care.

i could say what about Obama and all his lies? You guys seem to love those, and even thanked him with reelection. Or I could say maybe Carly Fiorina doesn't know the clip isn't from an abortion. Or maybe planned parenthood is lying, that's always a possibility. But none of that is needed to take the moral high ground on a the genocide taking place inside planned parenthood.
