Obama for all his faults has pushed the limits of executive power further than any other president in history. That could be a good thing depending on who the future president is.

    Yes!!!!!!

This is an exceptionally insightful comment!

What would seem to the majority of people to be an error......… even a serious error..... can turn out to be a major positive especially when the big picture is looked at over five to ten decades....... as opposed to the next fiscal quarter.

For example..... I read an article in 1994 that led me to find out that Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau made a serious error back in 1974 but................. knowing how unconcerned I personally was about the environment during the '80's and '90's......… a case can be presented that P. M. Trudeau...… may have saved the Canadian and even North American environment from being damaged perhaps fifty percent more than we did during these last four decades?????!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/canad...e-elliott-trudeau-save-world-environment.html

Did P. M. Pierre Elliott Trudeau save the world environment?

This is actually a quite serious question.

    P. M. Trudeau made an error back in 1974, that may well come to be understood as one of the most important mistakes ever made by a political leader.

When P. M. Pierre Elliott Trudeau took Canada off the gold standard, (which incidentally had to be done for many valid reasons), a miscalculation was made that is the number one reason why our national debt has spiraled out of control.

But..... there is a very good side to this because all of us know that we humans have been in a somewhat similar mentality to our ancestors who shot, boiled, barbecued, roasted and friend passenger pigeons into extinction.

We are highly prone to OVER Consumptionism............. I addressed part of the background issues back in my 2006 provincial level campaign as an independent.

I actually live less than one mile from a nine hole golf course.

I haven't had the free time to make use of this facility yet but..... I am hoping that that time will come...… and you never know how interesting the area of Central Nova might just become to a retired USA President?!

The liberals are trying to carry a football in the direction of their own end zone. The conservatives don't want to carry the ball because it's a baseball game.

You don't solve the problem of high federal loans by simply passing the cost on to someone else.

There's a ringing endorsement. Think Hillary will use it?

Vote Democrat: It could have been worse.
Vote Democrat: We do an average job!
Vote Democrat: Hey, we're not BUSH!
    Vote Democrat: Things happen.

    Pathetic.

Yes.......... and his older half brother Mr. Malik Obama is certainly one of the most courageous Muslims in the entire world. He was definitely risking his life when he stated........

Frankly..... I suspect that Ms. Clinton will basically...… attempt to disassociate herself from President Obama as much as she possibly can ............. Which is a good reason for her to hang around with her ex-husband as much as possible!

If given the Democratic Party nomination..... she might well repeat some aspects of President Obama's 2008 platform.........."Change we can Believe in!"

    https://my.barackobama.com/page/share/cwcbiinvite

I made a V. P. suggestion for her that ....... if adopted.... would certainly prove that she wishes to significantly alter the atmosphere in Washington!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/elect...on-brinkley-v-p-2016-presiden-usa-2024-a.html

Dannion Brinkley for V. P. in 2016 and President of the USA in 2024.

(post #2).....I try my best to be objective…………. but I have to admit that if I was American I would strongly tend to vote G. O. P.

But…….. I do believe that people on the political left are correct about many issues that we conservatives laugh at……….. Dannion Brinkley impresses me as somebody who has the potential to LEAD America's Democratic Party out of her ego trip…….. feeling of superiority……… disdain for everbody who disagrees with you…… even on small points……. and a tendency to approach subjects in a manner that impresses many of us as being impractical, too idealistic and too perfectionist.

I have no idea which party he might choose if he does agree to my offer…… .which is….. to create a facebook page and group with the same name……"Dannion Brinkley for V. P. in 2016 and President of the USA in 2024."

If Dannion Brinkley were to choose to join America's Democratic Party…. he might just assist her to break out of her rather Richard Dawkins Ph. D. approach to people who are spiritually inclined……. which is a dangerous mentality for a political party to get into.

If Senator Hillary Clinton were to choose Dannion to serve as her Vice Presidential candidate……. the atmosphere in Washington would be significantly positively altered.

Here is a good example of me…… trying my best to assist liberals and conservatives to take a step or two toward each other……. at least on a few major issues.

Probably why I'm not a Democrat.

But still - the Republicans lied to us about Bush, and Bush lied to us about Iraq. It's going to need to be an amazing candidate
for me to go back to the Republicans. The current crop is just not there. They've got two freshmen Senators with no military, business or international
affairs experience. A Businessman with no Congressional experience or experience in building coalitions. A Dr. who doesn't even know what international politics is and zero military experience.

Democrats? Not very impressed with Hillary. Sanders is passionate, but can he build a coalition? Doubtful.

We need a viable third party that's socially progressive and financially conservative.

There sure are a lot of periods in that post. Hammering the quadruple ellipsis button must mean you really left a whole bunch of stuff out.

    LOL!!!!!!!

Yup............................................ I totally empathize..... but if nothing else...… the "it could have been a lot worse" theme......… is truly worthy of consideration!

It's interesting to me that this is still the mantra; as if this chant sums up a foreign policy that failed more impressively than the current no strategy strategy.

Each president's foreign policy in the middle east has had to deal with these issues for my entire lifetime. Carter's Obamaesque foreign policy was a key reason why Reagan obliterated the Democrats. We didn't exit his presidency with the excuse, well things could have been worse. Nor did we use it when the first Bush flexed in the Middle East, or when Clinton flexed all over the middle east, Africa, and Eastern Europe.

Yeah, you see that kind of punctuation all over the great literary works of aging masters. Poe once used a whole bottle of ink punctuating a pause in a courtship letter to Sarah Helen Whitman.

    Obama's a great liar.

He is a wonderful example of a Black Supremacist.

He has as much love for Islam as he does for those of his own skin color.

    How's that?

I think you are totally confused. I never mentioned any of what you mentioned above; all I said was that he left organized labor alone for the most part which I stand by.

Perhaps if the Op stated the negative of what Obama has done would not leave so many people trying to think of one positive thing he has done.

Actually....... the quotations from President Obama given in the OP..... indicates that he is NOT........ a politician desperate to get elected............. he stated clearly and courageously what he was planning on doing!

His words....... indicate both courage....... as well as conviction...… in what he believes to be ethical and right????!

    ................
President Obama is an astonishingly good public speaker........ one of the reasons for this is that he has a great deal of courage.... much like his older brother, who although a Muslim..... stands up for the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Third Temple?????!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/polit...obama-one-worlds-most-courageous-muslims.html

Is Malik Obama one of the worlds' most courageous Muslims?

    In my opinion.....YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

    ................................

My problem with President Obama may boil down to the fact that I consider him to be unrealistic......… too idealistic...… and impractical in the policies that he promotes?!?!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/religion-philosophy/428114-canadians-americans-we-beast-rev.html

Canadians and Americans, are WE the Beast of Rev and....

..............Revelation 13:4..."And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? "

Now I must admit that there are serious advantages to being the world's greatest military superpower..............

and....... I must admit that I personally like the fact that the F-35 and F-22 Raptors make the fighter jets of all other nations seem like kids toys in comparison...........

    http://www.politicalforum.com/canad...orrect-abt-f-35-being-best-our-air-force.html

Could P. M. Stephen Harper be correct abt the F-35 being the best for our air force?

True..... he did leave unions alone.... but he could have came out courageously and explained to all Americans about the scheme to break unions...… and keep American workers so far in debt that they can never get out of the red into the black?!
