I was just thinking....let's say a GOD actually existed and if you had a chance to just ask ONE QUESTION of this GOD what would it be???

I thought about this and I know what I would ask.

I would ask....."What the **** are you doing!!!??"

"What can I do to most effectively influence the world for the better?" or something along those lines. Maybe "If you were to answer me right now, what information would lead me to most effectively influence the world for the better?" (the difference between the two questions is that the second guards against answers which I would not believe even if they were true).
Wouldn't God just answer "Running the universe, duh"? Seems like a wasted question to me.

I wouldn't have thought it'd be so easily provoked. But, you know, what do I know.

    What does anyone know??

    That's kind of my point.

I have seen some things that are just so F'd up that it makes it hard for me to believe there is any plan at all.

Maybe it's just that so many people don't believe in Him, or deny Him, or whatever that He is letting things happen until there is no other option but for Him to come and save us from ourselves. To show that He is indeed real and we do need Him after all.

I'm no expert on the end times, but, from what I do understand, things are happening just as God/Jesus said they would.
Judging from the way people totally deny His existence, as seen on this forum, it will take events the Bible describes for some to believe. And still many will not. The anti-Christ is real. Think what that means...anti-Christ...against Christ. We see it daily right here on this forum. Whatever happens to usher in the time of the False Prophet will be such that people will think he is a 'savior'. Something much more drastic than what is currently happening, will happen so that people will feel the need for a 'savior'. Then there will be a time of peace with him 'leading' the masses (just like the bible predicts). He will fool many people, like many are being fooled right now. But things won't be as they seem. There will be the Armageddon described in the Bible, whether you want to believe it or not.
When that time comes, Jesus will come back and show that He is the real, true, Savior of the world. It may happen in our lifetime, it may not. Only God knows.

Call me crazy, I don't care. I can't 'prove' anything to you. It's not my job to prove it to you. I can only tell you that I know what I know to be true. Only God Himself can prove Himself real to an individual.

I don't claim to know everything about the mind of God. Why things have to happen and it seems like He 'doesn't care'. But I know that is not true about God. Some things we just won't know until it's time to know. That is where faith comes in. But if you don't believe, or have faith in Him, I can see why you feel the way you do. I can't imagine living in this world without the hope I have in Him.

I'm sure some will come here and call me names for believing in a fairy tale or whatever. That's okay. I expect it. Won't change what I believe though.

I know some have scientific, logical minds. They want proof for everything. The bible talks about people wanting 'signs' to prove He is real. The same thing was asked of Jesus. So that is nothing new. My question is, how can a person look at creation...the earth we can see and what we know is out there but can't see with the naked eye, and not believe that something or someone way more intelligent than us created it? Do you really believe it 'just happened'? Sometimes I think God allows science to discover what He wants us to discover. Is all science correct? Who knows really. The same way you say 'who knows if there is a God'. Something to think about maybe.

Jesus Christ. ( this thread presupposes that Jesus is Christ, so I must as well) I want him to recommend some reading so I don't have to inundate him wit question.

I believe that we're all here to work things out for ourselves. I believe that I have my own relationship with God, and it actually has very little to do with worldly events/affairs. We each "have our cross to bear" as the set of learning mechanisms that best suit our particular path.
AA- You've read my account of my apprenticeship.
At this point in the journey, I don't know if we're capable of framing a question that would make sense to God, or if we're mature enough to comprehend his response. I'm OK with that. We have forever to work this out.
My "faith" is pretty hard to describe. I have faith that we wouldn't have come to human form unless we were already on course as an aspect of "Him". I have faith that we'll all "make it" to wherever this leads.
Whenever I hear someone say something like "every day above ground is a good day", I ask: "How do you know?"

My thread in no way defines what might be or is or is not a GOD...or even if a GOD exists.

Have you ever read an OP, and somehow 'invented' material in it that never existed before you finished reading all the replies and writing your own? . I could have sworn you had referred to Jesus Christ in it, and I was asking HIM one question. oops.

Geez, Alpha, I know that now. None of this is an accusation. It was an honest screw-up on my part. Somehow, my brain plopped Jesus in there by the time I finished. I don't know why this is hard for you to accept. Probably one of the other posters got me twisting this into a Christian God. I'd still want to ask The God for a book to read anyway. He could set a lot of things straight, by just pointing out the best resource.

As I said....I would just love it if a loving and caring GOD existed.

But the evidence is contrary to this.
