and I couldn't give a kangaroo's ass about what Australians think about our laws. AND i suspect you all feel the same about Yanks pointing out how stupid your anti gun laws are.
Thank you for sharing how you feel. My main point in this thread was to clarify that of course gun control involves the taking of guns, not discussing any laws directly but just the obvious principle. As for how you feel about australian laws, I welcome any constructive comment made with the right right heart and nature behind it. I do not mean to criticize you, nor your national pride, I do however, remain firmly of the view that guns should be heavily regulated globally, as any machine so dangerous should.
and I believe that ANY politician who does not support his citizens being able to own the same level of weaponry that protects said politician is not fit to hold office and should never be on the public payroll
I would glady share a roast beef sandwhich & tea with you, cordially as freinds in the real World, I have not even yet met a surly Austrailian, even though they do exist. However, you are wrong about gun control. A crocodile will bite your arm off and makes no freinds either. Give me an M-16 and a Glock, We can still have pints at the pub ! Cheers Mate !
South Carolina: Sanctuary State for the 2nd amendment? South Carolina House Votes To Nullify Federal Gun Regulations The Second Amendment Preservation Act directs state officials to not enforce any federal law, rule or regulation that took effect after Jan. 1 that limits access to firearms and ammunition. […] The measure aims to protect from new laws enacted after Jan. 1. It would not apply if Congress extends the gun-buying waiting period from 72 hours to 10 days or more because they would be amending existing law. http://www.postandcourier.com/artic...ndment-preservation-act-that-snubs-washington
They do. They are provided by the BATFE, Eric Holder, and the POTUS. If you want to blame someone for armed cartels, there's your starting point.
Was the article talking about guns in their entirety, like the title of this thread would imply? No, only semi-automatic weapons. No ordinary citizen needs a gun that holds 10 or more rounds, let alone can shoot off all of those rounds in less than 10 seconds.
Fortunately, the rights of the law abiding are protected from your version of what people "need" by the 2nd amendment.
In case you don't know. The "assault" rifles that you see at bass pro shops are semi auto as well. And cops have blazed through 15 rounds from there pistols from time to time.
you really have neither the training nor the experience to tell me what I need if civilian police have determined that 15-to 30 round magazines are most suitable for civilian governmental employees to use for self defense, then such number of rounds is even more suitable for us non LE citizens who don't have immediate backup via a radio we carry or body armor etc in our normal course of activities. - - - Updated - - - obviously a person who is a gun banner and thus has no understanding of defensive firearms tactics
Mental excercise time, if you stab someone they die, correct ? yet I can use a number 6 scalpel to save a life, lidocaine and other drugs etc, 3 000 silk,sutures....antibiotics.... You have to use your brains too, sometimes a gun can save lives, your brain is what makes a difference !!!!
Ok mental quiz time, in this video, how do I know the rifle in question is an M-16A1, and has never been legally registered with NFA and is a U.S. Army reserve issue weapon ? circa 1987....... https://youtu.be/poIf3vE4C-U
All I can tell is that its kinda battered and has the foregrip of a Vietnam era m16. I didnt see any markings although I was watching it on a phone.
writing an opinion, talking about an issue on the internet is hardly defending or attacking your consitutional rights. But look if you choose to respect people based on what they right about guns, then all the power to you. I personally, try to respect people regardless and not just rip in because they have lived a different life to me and have come to a different view.
Actually anyone that has a favorable opinion of banning firearms is directly at odds with our constitution.
