I am in the dark here, in the deep end of Canucksburg. I look at Clinton's program, and what I see is service to Wall Street and the rich, total devotion to Israel, militarism and a confrontative stance in foreign relations. Am I wrong here? If she is the Democrat nominee, then who represents those more at the left? And then, what's this support she gets from the black community? BLM? WTF? Please, those who do support Clinton - and are liberal. please tell me why you support Hillary Clinton. Thanks in advance.
I'm no supporter, but asking why she's a liberal seems like a case of being intentionally obtuse. Guns: Supports/suggests legislation that provides additional scrutiny with each purchase. Immigration: Supports path to full & equal citizenship. Health Care: Supports ACA; will build on it. Abortion: Washington has no business interfering with a woman's choice. Supports planned parenthood. Foreign affairs: Supports Iran nuclear deal, will enforce. Taxes: The wealthiest pay too little. Jobs: Supports raising pay, tax cuts for middle America. Environment: Suggests climate change is real, and we must act. Social Security: Intends to enhance & protect SS, as well as Medicare. Energy: Claims she will advance solar energy initiatives. There are more, but this is what I can remember without doing an extensive inquiry.
` Hillary is a neocon, at best. She is a lying, warmongering puppet of the banks and corporations. She will say and do anything to get elected. Her, Obama. Wasserman and the Democratic party sold out the liberals and progressives.
Very clear. Thanks. However, that's not as I heard it on some points, and this "Rich people don't pay enough taxes" and "more tax cuts for the middle class" is a variable: Here, in Canada, Trudeau said he would help the middle class, and after the election we learned that Trudeau's "middle class" starts at 47 000 and stops at 220 000 a year (or close to these). As for the Iranian deal, Clinton cannot enforce it and being a servant of Israel at the same time. Draw your own conclusions. The other points are pretty much spot-on. But they're not exclusive to Clinton - it's safe to say that Sanders, or any Democrat candidate for that matter, would have them. Yes, I know that I am changing the goal posts here. Can you explain me why the black community supports Clinton so much?
Well, that's what I fear; By accepting Clinton's program as "the left" (and there are some leftist elements here and there nonetheless), we move the whole chessboard to the right, at least economically and on the foreign scene. There can't be more establishment than Clinton - why would she want things to change? I have this feeling that Clinton is a woman of big ambition, but small ideals.
Hillary or Bill Clinton being democrats is the biggest con ever, shes a wall street republican hedge bet, actually more useful then a labeled republican since she and Debbie Wassermann Schultz can get democrats to jump off a bridge if needed for wall street special interest, big pharma, and Keystone pipeline just to name a few.
Because she is a woman, because her Husband was a good President, and because she will keep the plebs fed with cake.
didn't Bill Clinton sign 3 strikes? and a host of other legislation that really screwed the Black community? not to mention Hillary Clinton called black children super predators on the floor of the senate. corporate media controlled by wall street spread that rumor they care for blacks and for some weird reason it stuck, Sanders needs to point that out, neither Bill or Hillary really care about blacks, just their votes. wall street is just playing blacks for fools. why they buy this crap is amazing.
it's that simple heh?, well first off shes not a democrat that's for sure and second they heard the propaganda BS wall street spewed to them over the years that she was for them. all Bernie has to do is point this out. but he won't because it's a fake contest, all he's doing is recruiting new voters for her, that she could never get herself.
Since when did being a Democrat (or Republican) mean never compromising? That's politics, folks, and the alternative is called tyranny. I'm no "supporter" of Hillary but I appreciate the fact that she understands politics and is willing to compromise rather than send the country down the crapper in pursuit of some ideology.
mmm... me think you doth protest too much. Im doing quite well, actually. If you'd like to talk about how problematic it can be, we can discuss it.
I think the problem might be that you don't know where the center is. Just comparing Clinton today to where she was 20 years ago when her husband was president, she has moved very far to the left. In her own words, she can no longer explain the difference between herself and a socialist. In American terms, Canada has no right wing. So context is important here.
She's a total f'ing hypocrite and liar, you can't get better liberal qualifications than that in American politics...
