Neither you nor I as individuals can have any measurable impact on the world's climate. However, when hundreds of millions of us, all over the world adopt green policies as individuals, it WILL affect the climate over time.

AFAIK, Australia is participating in this as well.

Big oil is one of the industries well established as a climate denier, so it's not exactly a "conspiracy". They are using the same playbook as the tobacco companies did.

Yea, action taken. Like we found more oil(that didn't exist 20 years ago, right?). Still the same amount of water, the "experts" were just wrong, again. The worlds population exceeded that 5 billion mark and is now 7ish billion and still doing just fine.

Seems like it's the "experts" that are deniers as humans tend to find a way.

 

Spooky's right though, anybody deeply involved in AGW thinks every single bad thing is attributed to climate change.

The person who could show with significant peer reviewed evidence that AGW is not happening would win the nobel prize, get every government grant they want and be on the cover of every newspaper in the country. The idea that the greatest scientific minds on the planet, people who have devoted their life to the pursuit of scientific truth, are all now involved in a world wide conspiracy to hide the "real" science from everyone else is ridiculous and laughable. Deniers should be ashamed of themselves.

 

As long as it's not forced on those who don't buy into AGW, I don't have an issue. In other words, don't make me trade in my V8 for a battery powered smart car, or monitor my electricity usage and cut it off after I reach a certain limit, etc. And don't waste my tax dollars. Anything else they wanna do, go for it. Just don't include me. If enough people feel as alarmed as you do then there will be enough to combat AGW if it's real.

It's not a world wide conspiracy, lol. It's being funded billions to provide the answers they're being paid to provide. Do you know what will happen to the climate science community if they start providing answers that go against the answer they're being funded billions by the government for? They won't have jobs anymore so of course they're going to say what they need to say to get paid, wouldn't you? You get paid to do your job and if you're not doing what you're told, you get fired.

I seem to remember hearing about the coral reef dying a long time ago. These scientists probably know that there are over a hundred things that can cause that, but they're being paid for one reason and they won't stray from that reason. But if you call them out, you get immediately insulted and called a "denier." We're not allowed to agree with the scientists that don't buy into AGW, but we're called names if we don't agree with the same ones the people calling us "deniers" agree with. Hypocritical on their behalf. I don't chastise them for buying into something I consider a hoax, but God forbid you don't agree with them, you'll be chastised at every turn. What a joke.

 

So the greatest scientific minds in countries all over the world, people who have won nobel prizes, some people who do not even need the money anymore, are all LYING? Hilarious. You bought the Koch brothers mythology.
