Released on Donald Trumps page as a joint statement.

    https://www.donaldjtrump.com/press-...m-house-speaker-paul-ryan-and-donald-j.-trump

The United States cannot afford another four years of the Obama White House, which is what Hillary Clinton represents. That is why it’s critical that Republicans unite around our shared principles, advance a conservative agenda, and do all we can to win this fall. With that focus, we had a great conversation this morning. While we were honest about our few differences, we recognize that there are also many important areas of common ground. We will be having additional discussions, but remain confident there’s a great opportunity to unify our party and win this fall, and we are totally committed to working together to achieve that goal. We are extremely proud of the fact that many millions of new voters have entered the primary system, far more than ever before in the Republican Party's history. This was our first meeting, but it was a very positive step toward unification.

My take, breaking it all down.

    1. Fear warning to those external conservative anti-Trump people/orgs/groups/PACs. Fear is about allowing Hillary by not unifying completely. It tagged Trumps make America great theme into the first words of the first sentence. The United States. It incorporated Obama into what Clinton is really all about, being more of Obama failures.

    2. Unite...shared principles (meaning there are some principles that the GOP establishment and electorate has, and ones that Donald Trump has...leading into the next part of the sentence, advance a conservative agenda, using the word "we" for the first time, followed by many more.

    3. Admitting there are differences, and there will be more discussions, which leaves open a door with the next sentence for further anticipated fallout with anti-Trump people/orgs/groups/PACs..."there's a great opportunity to unify our party", which means it isn't after this initial meeting.

    4. Paul and Trump and GOP committed to working on unity, as well as winning in the fall. Double message when read properly.

    5. We are proud of the many millions more voters. That is Trump bringing them, and it is a PR way to speak about their new found partial unity...by saying "We" are proud of the many millions more voters.

    6. This was our first meeting, mentions positive, but still a step toward unification, directly saying in the kindest possible terms, that there is no instant unification that has happened.

This is the beginning of the GOP cave-in, which only demonstrates the party's lack of integrity.

Sounds lke the GOP is in big trouble.

Anything less than an enthusiastic (post-meeting) endorsement is a huge red flag.

Lmao at Trump's sycophants trying to spin this disastrous meeting as a "positive".

More smoke and mirrors from a delusioknal campaign.

Trump's sycophants' "positive" spin. Priceless. :roflol:

While the cards were stacked against him from the start for Clinton, Bernie Sanders has destroyed Clinton big time. His campaign is converting Democrats to Trump supporters by the millions! :roflol::roflol::clapping:

Be the first to start the "Trump can't win re-election!" thread. Get ahead of the rush.

This is every primary except those with an uncontested incumbent. It is a billion worthless media and partisan words. It always said the primary fight means the winner can't win. That always adds up to nothing.

It's probably easier than you think it is to trick you. Drump has just been playing a loudmouth, bigoted racist to get the base behind him, since thats what republicans like. Now watch him be a completely different person while he shills for the establishment he made a career out of blasting.

He's an actor, on TV, duping those who are easily duped.

This just gets better and better.

Someone should make a TV show out of this.

    Oh, wait...

Why would he regret screwing the same people he duped? What exactly does he have to lose if he blows the election and burns the party down to the ground? Nothing. Again, he got comfortable on TV playing a person he isn't. I dare say he got good enough at it to fool a lot of people. The apprentice was just his warmup and practice.

It's funny because they view integrity and consistency as a weakness. They don't want to be tied down to their principles or past positions when they see an opportunity to advance their agenda, so they stay liquid in their beliefs so that they can bend whichever way they want to in order to win. It's why none of them had a problem with Obama/Hillary claiming marriage was between a man and a woman in 2007, yet now, if someone says that, they call for boycotts.

They will ALWAYS hold a conservatives feet to the fire on integrity and consistency, though. If they bend even a little, they're attacked. It's how progressives roll.

Some liberals have integrity. The political establishment is dishonest from left to right.

Trump will enjoy the benefit of the doubt for quite awhile unless he removes all doubt by doing the Full RYANO.

Fair enough. However, your response when he does go back on almost everything he promised, what will your reaction be?

After obama, you could place a paperweight in the oval office and it will be a better presidency than Obama.

    Trump is a spineless weasel.

He will do, and say, whatever it takes to get elected.
(If it is politically expedient to change the positions that he took in the primaries, he will do just that.)

Trump is an opportunist, who cares only about Trump.

His blind sycophants need to wipe the excrement out of their eyes and wake up.

At least, that way, they will have a better chance of coping with waking up to a Dem Pres-elect on Nov. 9th.

Answer the question without crying about Obama. When drump changes his stances on all of his promises that he fooled people like you into believing. What will be your response?

    - - - Updated - - -

They're beyond hope at this point. They've crossed the rubicon of ignorance and burned the boats. They have no choice but to see it through, no matter how many promises he goes back on. They'll try and sugarcoat his duplicity with 'pivot to the center' but the rest of us will know he simply duped a bunch of rubes. Plain and simple.

Ohhhh without crying about Obama, LOL answer the question, the way I want you to......ummm no. You asked what my response will be. This is it.
If that happens Ill be like that mother (*)(*)(*)(*)er......who the (*)(*)(*)(*) does this piece of (*)(*)(*)(*) think he is doing acting all Obama and (*)(*)(*)(*).

Of course you are acting as if this is already fact when in fact it has only happened in your head. Unlike Obama who has as a fact lied to us about keeping our doctors.
I now ask you, what is your response to the President who has actually lied to us and broke his promises? Unlike your restrictions, you are free to reply with your truthful response.
