Stanford Rape Case:Doesn't modern day, 3rd wave feminism have to share some blame?

What if someone murders you, or steals your car. Do you share part of the blame then?

 

Are you saying that both cases aren't crimes?

 

If you need to ask the question why women are raped more than guys, there's a probably a whole lot of psychology you need to study. Yes or NO, people, especially women have the ability to avoid situations in which rape is far more likely to happen?

 

NO!!! Nice try=) The FACTS are, men in a drunken state are far more likely to do something extremely stupid, like rape a passed out girl on their bed to look cool to their STUPID friends. You can choose to ignore that fact or you can naively hope it can't possibly happen to you and stupidly drink like a dummy and accept the consequences. But you probably never accept any consequences for your own actions.

This is the age old strawman that will never go away because STUPID people like you will NOT use common sense, but expect everyone around them to be angels. Guess what!!!! Life isn't fracking fair and doing stupid things produces stupid results and getting RAPED due to stupidity is one of the tragic things that perhaps can only be learned through practice instead of prevention. And it WILL happen to someone who puts themselves in situations where it CAN happen every weekend. The stupid ones ignore the reality of something bad happening but do it anyway. You want to be a statistic, be stubborn and blame everyone else when you do stupid &#*@(!.

No one deserves to be raped....EVER. But if it happens, you better hope it wasn't something avoidable, because if it was, that's on YOUR conscience. The guys certainly won't give a crap.

Again, you're describing culture. Parents may or may not have done what you suggest. That more would have than wouldn't doesn't really mean much. This is a free country, and we're each free to decide these things for ourselves. Cultures change. 19th century rural American culture not only wouldn't check virginity, it would promote having started a family by the age 18.

 

I think I already stated this above. Go read some studies. Drunk people have little control over their faculties. They could rape someone and not even remember doing it. Doesn't mean they didn't do it. Doesn't mean they shouldn't get nailed to the wall. I can only assume you've never been to a party with loads of drunk people. I have. They do (*)(*)(*)(*) all the time they don't remember doing the next morning. Doesn't mean its HER fault. But she CHOSE to put herself in a really bad situation. That choice has consequences. In a court of law, its not her fault. In the court of life, she's going to deal with that choice for the rest of her life. Guarantee she won't pass out at another party if she cares. Then again, I've seen wasted/high girls screw guys every weekend, barely remember it and do it again and again and again. I wouldn't be surprised at all that some of them passed out 1/2 way through and the guys kept going. That happens constantly on college campuses all the time. Idiots being idiots.

 

So instead of getting after women who get drunk, get after the men who get drunk since they are doing the raping. Myself, I never have gotten so drunk as to lose control enough to rape someone.

Occam's razor. The easiest way NOT to be raped while passed out is to not pass out or at least have friends around you. Very easy to to avoid passing out, you know. Everyone can still drink and be happy. Unless you just ban men from drinking=)

Like getting raped by males who have no self control and react to sex like an animal? That's sick. I am proud to say that of the many hundreds of men I have met in my lifetime, all of them had self control and were not reduced to primal instincts. Getting raped is more than just "a stupid thing".

 

Then next time you get out of your car, don't lock it. Don't lock your house when you leave. Aren't you just blaming the victim by doing such things ? This type of logic used by feminists is just silly nonsense.

Women need to avoid getting blind drunk around men they don't know. They also need to stop dressing proactively when drunk and alone because they're inviting trouble.

Victim blaming is the stupidest type of mentality because it obscures the fact that we should be able to get drunk with a wad of bills in our pocket and not get robbed, pass out and not get raped, leave our homes unlocked and not get robbed, walk in any neighborhood and not get murdered, and get pulled over by the police and not get shot. But instead of finding solutions, we waste our time blaming the victims for something that they shouldn't even have to worry about.
