Stanford Rape Case:Doesn't modern day, 3rd wave feminism have to share some blame?

Incorrect, the study shows the perpetrator is female. I didn't claim it was easier, but possible, reading comprehension along with biology are apparent weak points for you, aren't they.

 

I'm sure it is possible for a man to get an erection while he is passed out drunk, but it isn't going to be easy for him to maintain that erection. I also think it is extremely rare that women go around raping passed out men. Lol. That is just not how we are. Most of us would rather avoid drunken passed out men.

It's very rare and you are being ridiculous. I also highly doubt that the man will have an easy time with becoming fully erect while he is passed out drunk from alcohol. Some men (a LOT of them according to studies) have a hard time with that just being drunk, never mind completely passed out.

I don't think so. All you did was post some vague numbers that didn't demonstrate that any of these people were passed out. Now did they?

A medical doctor on Web MD (yes a licensed medical physician) says it is extremely unlikely that one would be able to achieve or maintain an erection while passed out cold from drinking. Isn't that right?

 

Alcohol used as a tool to rape can be interpreted in only two ways, lowing inhibitions to allow it while compromised or pass out.

 

And you are claiming that it is routine for women to go around "raping" passed out men? What is your point and what is it that you are arguing about?

Like the doctor said, in the case of a woman rapist, unless SHE is penetrating him, it is going to be very difficult for her to have sex with him in the normal manner because he is going to have a difficult time getting and keeping an erection, and even if he does manage to get an erection, that doesn't mean he is going to be "hard" as he should be.

You don't need a full erection to penetrate. You argued as if it never happened. If that's not your intent so be it.

And you've used that, from your posts, as an argument to discredit the validity that it happens. Put in another way, I could easily argue that it's extremely rare that a man would want to have sex with a passed out woman because men don't want to have sex with a log. Does that make it a credible argument that it doesn't take place? Or that it should discredit those to whom it has happened? No.

 

That's not true. Look at the stats. Women get drunk passed out and get raped. That is what the whole thread is about. Men having sex with passed out women who cannot consent. Now, how often do you think women go around raping passed out men? Get real.

 

It does happen more often than a lot of people want to admit. It just goes unreported even more than it does with women.

Different men also react to alcohol differently. Age and fitness play a part as well.

And once again. Rape is not about sex. Its about power.

Probability and statistics. Sea belts won't do much if you are racing down a blacktop at 150 mph, but a lot of people were saved when making a wrong turn.

Sorry to pick on you because you’re far from alone but this is the fundamentally stupid and dangerous approach to this question. “Blame”, “guilt” or “responsibility” in a case like this isn’t a fixed amount to be shared between everyone involved. If two people rape someone, are they each only half as guilty?

Each individual is entirely responsible for their own actions and the actions of others don’t affect that. For example, if a person discovers another person unconscious and takes the opportunity to rape then, that rapist is unquestionably and entirely responsible for that act of rape. If the victim was unconscious because they chose to get blind drunk, they’re responsible for that but that doesn’t impact the guilt of the rapist in any way what-so-ever. After all, if the victim was unconscious because a third party drugged them or because of some medical condition, the rape wouldn’t be different.

 

Never said it gave anyone a right to harm you but If you do stupid things you increase the risk of bad things happening to you and must assume some responsibility when something bad does happen. Like those idiots that went backpacking in Iran and then wondered why they ended up in an Iranian prison accused of spying

 

I think us guys are still lucky. Women haven't invented a party drug that leaves guys unconscious but with a massive erection; and women conspiring to "look for the unconscious guys with a hard on; we can claim they have to go along with us once we put our scent on them."
