Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson stipulated Tuesday that responsible homeland security entails passing meaningful gun control reforms.“I believe that meaningful, responsible gun control is part of homeland security and it’s something we have to address,” Johnson said in an interview with CBS “This Morning,” following Sunday’s shooting at an Orlando gay nightclub that left 50 people dead, including the shooter, and 43 others injured.

Democrats are renewing calls to bar people on the terrorism watch list from purchasing weapons of war, such as the AR-15 used in the massacre. The Orlando gunman had also once been on a terrorist watch list.Less than two weeks ago, President Barack Obama highlighted the potential for a tragedy like the Orlando shooting to happen, saying he couldn’t limit access to firearms to people who have been placed on a no-fly list because of the influence of the National Rifle Association.

The most recent push to expand gun background checks — which are widely supported by the general public — failed in Congress in 2013 months after the Newtown elementary school shooting due to a Republican-led filibuster. - Source​

This incident may be the straw that broke the camels back. I'm referring to the NRA's iron grip on Congress. DHS has elevated gun reform into a national security issue. This is going to force congress to pass some sort of gun control legislation.

 

Rights protected by the Constitution:

poll taxes were deemed unConstitutional yet we require payment for firearm background checks and even licenses

Now Jeh wants to point toward the squirrel as opposed to the actual problem, a feckless administration which has enabled ISIS yet despite this, uninformed voters will vote Democrat

I would speculate that voting Democrat has resulted in more killed babies within the USA and more killed folks in other parts of the world than any gun crime in the USA

 

Forgetting the guy worked for a security company with contracts with... The DHS.. The DHS failed so of course they are going to blame everyone and anyone but themselves.

Please, God, please let Hillary run on gun grabbing. It will already be a huge boon for Trump to refer to the overturning of the Heller case, but if Hillary actually thinks this is a strength for her. I get it, all of the deep blue states love gun control, but they are already in HillDawg's bag. Ohio, Florida, Indiana, Virginia, NC, etc. are not. This will do more to get the vote out against Hillary than we could ever hope to get for Trump.

He vwent to Saudi Arabia TWICE to visit mecca.Plus his father openly vowed support
of the Taliban.Our Government is Totally at fault here.
