Ohhh I know that guy, he's the one who wrote Case Studies of Reincarnation or something like that right? I haven't actually read him but I'm vaguely familiar with what he researched. I'm extremely sceptical however. It seems to me that there is a huge jump between observing occurrences of behaviour or memories which cannot be chalked up to either nature or nurture (which is expected, since it is impossible to know every possible variable in either sphere) and postulating that they are due to reincarnation, a process shrouded in ancient mysticism and questionable ideas about the soul. I think my implicit association of Russia or the Russian language with nukes has more to do with the crap on the news tbh.

AboveAlpha, how easy is Farsi to learn? I was thinking of making a start on it once my Spanish C1 exam is out of the way (which will take a while) but it would be the first non-European language I've ever learnt, so I'm preparing myself for a bit of a challenge.

Well the biggest problem I had was to try not to confuse words in Farsi with those in Pashto or even Arabic and although there is a big difference some things are very similar so as long as I was in a region fr a while I could get on track and not screw up.

It's not easy especially if you learn to READ.

    Brilliant reply on this topic.

I suspect that you may be impressed by his research on moles or birthmarks occurring in the areas where people remember

being shot or stabbed in those possible past lives.

On August 8, 2000 I wrote to Maria Jose through ChristianMatchmaker .com

She printed off my e-mail.... took it home.... .and prayed about it.

Soon Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus (so she thinks)... told her somehow that I was going to
be her husband...... He told her that I would always tell her the truth.....(quite a
contrast from her ex... who had already given her a divorce... due to his interest in
    other women and parties).

Yeshua told her to fast and pray for me for 35 days... four weeks.... three days / week
only fruit juice..... The fifth week... .seven days in a row.... only fruit juice... no solid food
    all week.......

Yeshua woke her up and got her to pray for me most mornings........

I was 3000 miles away basking in the most astonishing Shalom / Peace of mind...
that I had ever experienced.... but especially in that very rough decade of 1990 to 2000....

So... by October I bought a plane ticket and went to Ecuador on January 12, 2001.....
and we said our vows between us and G-d.... within five or six hours of our meeting......

She was promised in 1995 that she would be given a daughter, (she had two sons from
her first marriage).... A...... is now 13.

I was in Quito for a year and a half.

Maria Jose has been here in Canada since August of 2002.

She really loves it here in Canada... her two boys do as well.......

The first grandson was born about a month ago......

There is far more to the story..... strange, strange, strange.... things set me up.....
so that she would be happy.......

In a way... my two lousy first marriages and her first marriage that was pretty awful.....
set us up to be much happier now.

    Excellent......

As I campaigned for public office in 2004, 2006 and 2008

I was hoping to have all three primary campaign writings translated into Spanish.....
side by side.... .or on top of each other.....to give my former students in Quito, something to practice with.......

especially the gang from Universidad Technologica de Israel de Quito.......

A woman with similar gifts to my wife...... gave me some sort of "prophecy" a few months ago..... that

kind of scares the hell out of me....... and I have been scheming for months.... .how to dump the role off on

talent...... when the going gets tough......(notice post #9)...... are you interested in rivalling AA for this role?

There are 11 official languages for South Africa and a couple of unofficial ones.

Perhaps the most common unofficial language is Fanagalo which is an amalgam of others and used on the mines.

Given that South Africa has a large immigrant population Greek, Portuguese, Yiddish, Hindi and several others are spoken in certain communities.

So the rainbow nation has a rainbow of languages too.

Dutch is so hard to imitate though. Genreally, I am quite good a imitating languages, but Dutch is just too impossible. It's like Icelandic mixed with German and English or something.

    English has Germanic language roots and so, I assume, would Dutch. Given that the Norse Vikings invaded England and large parts of Europe even as far south as Italy there was a lot of intermingling with the languages themselves. It explains why there are so many words in English for what is essentially the same thing. For instance the term "horse";

    http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=horse

From the above you can see how terms like cavalry ended up in English.Origins for terms like mare, stallion, pony, etc are also rooted in other languages.

The longer days bum me out.
I feel much more in my "prime" with the Winter Solstice.

    Y'think?
In the mean time, go out of your way to eat high protein, control your carbs
because they are easy foods when feeling down and produce a little high.
Fresh stuff as you like it. Dairy.

I just now started reading this thread, and I think I know the perfect woman for you. But...she can be testy and you might not be what SHE would consider perfect although I would put in a good word for ya. Ex military, likes her guns, exceptionally beautiful. However...she does not post here. ChrisL might have a clue to who I am referring to, lol.

I am a very complex individual and my experiences and history is extensive and the problem in the past has been trying to find someone who is capable of understanding all that I am.

I am fairly certain I have found that person but as per freakin' usual.....there is always a catch for a man like me.

Despite what a few female members on this forum might think.....I am beyond faithful, loyal to a fault....and I put my all into every relationship which have been very few to none since I lost my last fiancee.

I have had 2 fiancee's....one actually dropped dead in mid-sentence right in front of me as we were at a party and no it had nothing to do with drugs as it was Genetic and she died instantly from an aortic aneurysm and I gave her CPR right up to the time the ambulance came to pick her up.

There was nothing anyone could do.

My second fiancee I lost over a year ago as I was gone doing a JOB with my Team overseas and when I am gone I cannot in any way talk to or communicate with anyone as this would be a violation of OPSEC....Operational Security and I was gone for just over 2 months.

While I was gone Sky...my fiancee posted on this forum and a few members such as Wgabrie were VERY kind to her and as she was freaking out I can't thank these members enough.

I got back and she was happy...I was happy and the girls who are my 2 bi-sexual neighbors who were very much a part of our lives were also very happy and then just 2 days after being home the S#!# hit the fan and I was asked to go back.

Now I can say no....but I really could not have as if I didn't go they would have just ordered my Team to go with another Team Leader and as I am not Military....and they are....they would have done this and because what was happening was something that only I am the expert on.....by not going there would have been a fairly high probability that one or more of my guy's could have been killed being led by someone else who didn't understand the realities on the ground.

    So I HAD to go.

I would not have been able to live with myself if I didn't go and then if one of my men had gotten killed?

I just could not have done that.

So I told Sky I was going and she flipped out....with good reason.

She told me we were through and as I had to leave I was not able to even discuss this with her and I went back with my Team doing something that was beyond dangerous and something hanged inside of me.

I got hard, cold and a wall or armor was built around me so that nothing could hurt me again.

I got back and Sky told me it was too late even though she said she loved me because she KNEW....as long as I was Operational....I would always pick the lives of my Team over our relationship.

After that it got bad for me.

And although I had the girls they really are a couple and I am the 3rd wheel.

It got worse over time and my friends kept setting me up on blind dates with really hot women but in the end...I was armored....and my heart cold.

I talked with a few female members here and I made a few fiends but nothing that would open me up.

Then I met someone I really cared for.

But now I have no idea what is going on.

Try to understand that there are 3 things going on here. There is you, there is her and then there is what you have together, AKA the relationship.

You can't change her, only she can change herself.

    You can change yourself.

Together you can find a way to make the relationship work, and by that I mean work as in the sense that both of you have to tell each other what you want out of the relationship and what you are willing to put into the relationship.

Your constraint is that you will be away for long periods and out of communication. That doesn't mean that you can't find another way to let her know that you are thinking of her every day. That just takes a little creativity on your part.

And yes, that will go a very long way to keeping the relationship alive, A strong relationship is what you need and that means you have to build it up just like you would build up your own physical strength to tackle a strenuous task. And since this is a partnership both of you need to work on building this strong relationship.

What works for the two of you is entirely up to the both of you to figure out. Oftentimes it is the little things that matter the most. For instance if you know you are going to be deployed for a month or two hide some notes around the home for her to find. Put one in her shoe, another in her pantie drawer, a third under a can of soup in the pantry. Arrange for a florist to send her a different flower each week.

So the answer to your question "what can one do" is plenty. All it takes is some work and imagination.

    Good luck!

What is your personal take on Federal Reserve policy?

I have flip flopped back and forth a great deal on this question over the past
    22 years.

    http://www.politicalforum.com/polit...ence-federal-reserve-doing-excellent-job.html

I just read powerful evidence that the Federal Reserve is doing an excellent job.

If this statement is correct...… that the bulk of the interest generated by the loans issued by the Fed..... go back into the budget of the USA...… then........ I no longer have any serious issues with the American Federal Reserve System!

This is news to me...… although it looks like this has been going on for a long time.

Who Actually Owns the Fed and Why That Must End

If dad2three is correct.............. then all the criticism that I have read of the American Federal Reserve System is terribly exaggerated!

AboveAlpha........ Sir........... I can see why you might get a little angry on occasion with Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus who claimed
to have been given all power in heaven and earth.......

and that all judgment had been committed to him.....

I am so sorry for what you went through.................
