Better late than sorry; Trump, with a new campaign manager and teleprompter, got the writing on the wall and will now try to appear more "presidential".

That would have been a good move three months ago. IMO that's a bit late.

But hey, that's a new Donald Trump - the one that swore he would never make excuses is gone.

How much are you buying it?

This must be deflating for all the jamokes who were so aroused by the reality tv performer saying all those "wrong things."

I thought it was too late too (one month late, he should have done it immediately after the convention) but I expected him to be like 12-15% behind in polls and he is actually just 4-5% down in the latest round of polls and the race seems to be tightening. Given that he hasn't yet released a single ad and there's been no debates, all bets are still off.

The real question is whether he can continue restraining himself or he'll start a nasty argument with a pro-Hillary street vendor or cab driver tomorrow and lose that argument too :D

I wonder for all long he will restrain himself from saying more "wrong things". His ad-lib'd, blue collar-like reflexions are part of his "charm". Nobody wants Teleprompter Trump.

For the time being. As we all know, Trump is not only one not given to reflection, he does not have the political discipline to keep his mouth shut.

So, we'er just waiting for the bomb to go off.

National polls are totally meaningless at this point. In the state by state polling, he's been toast since the conventions. He may be able to halt the slide, but his lack of discipline and total ignorance of anything having to do with government or politics will doom him in any debate.

Hillary will make him look like a clown who doesn't know what he's talking about. And she will get under his very thin skin.

    That's the trick, isn't it?

Have his own followers figured out they have to accept "tranquilizer darted Trump" for him to win?

or will they get bored, even angry, if he suddenly becomes a trained animal under the thumb of Kellyanne Conway?

Fearmongering much? LOL Same old playbook you used against Reagan and every republican, A major revision is long overdue pal, this same old crap is too boring...

Actually if you are afraid of the nuclear button in Trump's hands, the Mullahs, the North Koreans, Putin and co will be totally terrified, which is not entirely a bad thing. They are openly laughing at Obama now and I am not sure they'll take Hillary all that seriously either.

YOU said Trump may or may not be able to "restrain himself".

Again, you're "comfortable" with a person like that having a huge military...and nuclear weapons...at his sole discretion?

BTW, I remember Ronald Reagan. I VOTED for Ronald Reagan...twice.

    Trump is no Ronald Reagan.

Trump is for sure no Ronald Reagan who would be unelectable today but you libs are running the exact same smear and fearmongering playbook you did against Reagan and all other republicans and frankly it's so stale that it's just a huge yawn.

As far as your specific fearmongering is concerned, there is a vast difference between being unable to restrain one's mouth and pushing that nuclear button. I have far more realistic concerns about Hillary sending millions of additional jobs to China, keeping borders open, tripling the national debt than about Trump nuking Iran or North Korea....

But if Iran and North Korea were to take an American president seriously for a change, i'd certainly see it as a good thing.

Well, Hillary is promising to overturn citizens United while taking donations from all sorts of unsavory sources, dictatorships and theocracies and you don't seem to see a contradiction. So yeah, I expect the playing field to change against outsourcing, not one particular business to commit a financial suicide.

His words are empty since he doesn't say what he specifically regrets saying.

Not only that, but his "I always tell the truth" is already a lie.

Yeah now that her foundation takes donations from all those horrible sources I am convinced that she is committed to overturning citizens United. Thanks for the laugh.

This is why the Clinton Campaign is running the TV ad with Trump on "Letterman" talking up his clothing line for Macy's.

And PRETENDING he "didn't know where it was made."

It plays to the blue collar vote that ACTUALLY believe in Trump's promises of tariffs and "stopping jobs from going overseas to China."

And the ad is devastating for Trump.

I particularly like the part of the ad where you hear Trump say "That's great, we employ people in Bangladesh"...

You wrote as if you disputed the news itself for the messenger - there's a video of Trump saying well... the things he said. There's no "political analysis" from CNN's part or tampering with the source.

Beside you could just google the subject and offer a post or a thread of your own with a source you believe would more match your colours.
