2020 will depend on whether the economy grows and the GOP shows any kind of ability to carry out their congressional duties - something they've found impossible for a few years now. We will need some additions to the ACA to keep prices down - perhaps a public option in competition with insurance companies.

My own preference would be single payer, with strong basic coverage for all and additions available to those who buy insurance - a little like Medicare today. Medicare is working, but I suspect the GOP will have a coronary at the very suggestion of Medicare for all.

 

My understanding is that Comey said Clinton is involved only in that new emails will be scanned to determine if they contain state secrets for which she should be prosecuted.

He's done that with huge volumes of emails already.

Turn on the news. Looks like the FBI is not going to take it in the ass by the Obamas or the Clintons any longer. Reopening means its significant and they wouldn't be doing it unless there was something serious there.

I think this is too much for many Libs to take in (digest) at this point. So many of them (because the "D") are in complete denial of the magnitude of this. They are scared!

This is on behalf of Hillary Clinton by the Comey. The purpose is to divert from all issues to instead more about emails, which everyone has already made up their mind on. This entire election has been the corporate propaganda media and press, Clinton's talking heads and Clinton doing ANYTHING to divert from actually issues related to government economic, immigration, domestic and foreign policy. This action by Comey is just to give the media and press a diversion, while claiming it is not their doing her more favors. Nothing else.

Doesn't reopening an investigation a week and half prior to the election speak volumes! Isn't that (in itself) pretty obvious to the magnitude of the issue?

 

This, my friend, are the nice two cents. Being subject to a political pressure like we know nothing about, he should still be a G-Man first and foremost and as such, should be sensitive to what his peers think of him. Reopening investigations happens all the time. They are conducting an investigation into sexual predator weiner's device that he probably shared with huma. It does not mean that hillary is for sure going down.

 

They are so used to her getting away with things, that they think this is just another chapter. Its not. The issue here is the FBI totally discredited themselves in front of the entire nation and now and with the entire nation rallying against corruption I believe the FBI smells blood in the water and is no longer afraid of reprisal from Obama.
Id be out to get my integrity back if I were them too. They need to be because if the FBI and DOJ are corruptible then we are no longer the U.S.A.
They need to fix this and fix it in way that no politician will ever try this again. She needs to go to prison for the rest of her life.

Comey is a Trump shill. He was initially appointed by Republicans, he went out of his way to improperly bash Clinton when he announced there was no credible evidence to indict her, and now just 11 days before the election, he decides to announces he's re-opening the investigation.
