The Chicago Cubs win game 7 to win their first World Series since 1908. In a great come from behind Series, the Cubs were down 3-1 and came back to win 3 in a row including the last two games in Cleveland. Congratulations to the Cubs players, Manager Joe Maddon and the great city of Chicago Illinois.

I wanted the Indians to win because the PC patrol hates them.

America is and always has been great. But as lifelong baseball fan (Pittsburgh Pirates) who has been to Wrigley Field hundreds of times and learned to love the great Cub fans over the years it is really nice to see them get their first championship in over a hundred years.

The Indians played their hearts out and deserve a lot of respect. Great team and great Manager in Terry Francona...

Great stuff. Especially after Davis' homer tied it in the 8th.

    Super clutch.

Will go down in history as one of the greatest MLB games of all time.

    An emotional rollercoaster.

Congrats to Cubs Maddon the Zen Master. Tito a class act in defeat.:salute:

I predicted Cubs in seven. I said Kluber couldn't win three games in the series and Miller would be worn slick. I turned down an offer from ESPN this morning. They're too PC for me.

Seriously though. I'm a yuuuuuge baseball fan. I saw more Cubs games on TV growing up than my hometown team. The Cubs were always on WGN, and during the day at home, when no other games were usually being played. My hometown team used to broadcast only away games.

I grew up with Ryno, the Penguin, Jody Davis, Leon "the Bull" Durham, Lee Smith, et al.

The Harry Caray Budweiser commercial after the game was DOPE! I remember that one well!

As for managing the game; Joe Madden could've easily been a goat, pardon the pun. Lester needed an inning to get going, and the wild pitch was a killer.

Chapman threw like eight straight fastballs to blow the lead. Dude, you gotta mix it up. And he did the next inning with success.

Carl Edwards was lucky to make it out of there alive. He looked like a deer in the headlights.

Both managers wore out their pitchers, which some might be ok with, given it's the WS. My problem isn't their long term health. It's their short term stamina. It's no surprise it was such a high scoring game.

Lester, get off the mound and field your position. That is utter disrespect for the game.

One hundred and eight years of futility ended. Coming back from the edge of failure to win it all. Their fans filled Wrigley field for decade after decade of failure and they never stopped believing. A wonderful baseball story that makes baseball special despite itself. Well done!

I've been a life long Cubs fan. I used to go to Cubs games every weekend and sit in the bleachers.

It's pretty crazy now that the Cubs won. All these years you almost expect them to lose one way or another.

No longer will the Cubs be the pun of jokes.

    Pretty surreal.

It looks like the Cubs can win a few more championships over the next several years.

Watch them win 4 straight titles er become the next Yankees over the next 10 years lol.

As a Pirate fan, I have been to Wrigley several times during a pennant run to cheer for the Cubs against the Mets, Phillies and Cardinals. The Cubs always played their asses off against those teams even though they were out of the race. Harry Carey, at his bar in '92 told me he hated the Mets and the Cardinals and when the Cubs were out of the race he became a Bucco fan. I love Wrigley, the fans, the Cubs and the great city of Chicago. Congrats!

Best series since 2002 when my Anaheim Angels won another come-from-behind series. Really happy for the Cubs. Respect the Indians as well who did not make it easy. Game 7, extra innings? Insane. It really could have gone either way, but I'm happy it ended the way it did.

Back to the Future 2 was only off by 1 year in their prediction.

Obama strikes me as a White Sox kind of Chicago fan. Actually, strike that, baseball is a little too American. He probably hates it. Soccer is his thing.
