Most of the time. people fail to take into account the distortions in their own perspective, and our human tendency to adjust conclusions to support what we want to believe.

Perhaps the most common element of fact in this entire election process is that the polls and opinions of experts and amateurs from all sides have a common thread- THEY HAVE BEEN WRONG.

I wish my kids were as sharp as Donald Trumps. I wish my business was as large as Donald Trumps. There is a lot of evidence of strength and competence in this man; yet many people judge him on his pit-bull personality- which is exactly what gives him the ability to take on Godzilla and kick ass. We used to seek out presidential timber with that quality, before our society inbred itself with the mentality of sheep and dependency.

A possible three Supreme Court justices, 14 Federal Appeals court Judges, and over 100 other federal judges awaiting appointments.

The driving force behind my Trump vote.

General decency, respect for others, honesty and compassion.

These are things I find to be American values and do not note in the new President.

Ah, you mean do I care that he is politically incorrect to an extreme? If he delivers on his list of items to do in the first 100 days? Then no, I don't.

I don't know the man, and you probably don't know the man. So the folks I look to for commentary on his decency, respect for others, honesty and compassion are those who do, in fact, know the man. Well, they actually say that he's a decent man. And his kids appear to be very solid individuals. Sorry, but their thinking on the matter should carry more weight than your views or my views on the subject.

Freedom loving people don't like to be governed We understand it is a necessity for a peaceful and orderly society but the less you are required to be governed the better off you are

Trump is a decent man who is honest and compassionate. Respect has to be earned and it is a two way street. If he gets no respect, he gives none. Perhaps when these Congress people grow up because, after all, they were duly elected to represent the people and nowt boycott, they will decide that they must work with him and then they will become mutually respectful. BUT Democrats have to GROW UP and be adults and not bratty children. Boycotting the president is disrespectful.
Maybe you think that Democrats have those values that you espoused, but personally, I have not seen that except from Sen. Joe Manchin who seems to be the only reasonable Democrat on Capitol Hill. Do you think that people like Schumer or Pelosi are respectful, honest, etc.? I don't. We know Hillary and Obama aren't.

Ya mean he was wrong? How many Photoshop layers is a 1961 BC supposed to have? Did you ever see a 1961 BC that ID'd the race of the child as African American?

I think Trump was looking in the wrong place. I firmly believe that Natural Born Citizen requires the father be a citizen at the time of birth as Vattel stated in Law of Nations. Obama's father was never a citizen. The only President, aside from the originals who were excluded from the requirement, was Chester A. Arthur, and he burned his records.

The other place is whether he had to renounce his US citizenship to go to school in Indonesia. So, is he two mints in one? An Indonesian citizen, Barry Soetoro, and an American citizen, Barack Obama. Alot of people were looking for Trump's tax returns. I was looking for Obama application to Columbia as a foreign exchange student. But, alas, it was sealed.

BTW, since a very good friend of mine and her sister, both adopted at 6 weeks old from abroad through the Catholic Church, have Birth Certificates as though they were born here --- BC's don't convince me of anything.

Getting back to Trump ,,, he was a Democrat from 2001 - 2009, so perhaps it was a way for him to get into politics where is wanted to be. Obama attacked all kinds of people and news outlets as a sitting President. I never agreed with his politics, but his values came out in whining about his predecessor and after the election when he set out to undermine his successor's administration --- right up until yesterday. Just as Bush showed his character right up until the succession, Obama has shown his character deficit.

From what I can see, Trump has been President since the 2nd week in November. We can disagree over his politics. We can criticize his personal faults. We can envy his wealth. But it's hard to claim he hasn't been leading.

It shouldn't come as a surprise. His predecessor has been "leading from behind". In that type of environment, it's easy to be out front.

You could go to a Pentecostal wailing wall and pray for him to be forgiven of his sins - or go rant on a corner Bible in hand. :roflol:

Yup. And I suspect that the "freedom loving people"...who want "less"...

...are going to find that they have just served themselves up a whole lot of "MORE."

    We'll see.

I think the desirers of "less"...are going to be sorely disappointed. Donald Trump is not the kind of guy looking to govern less!

Trump wants the Federal bureaucracracy reduced. That's a good thing. Obama admitted he is lazy and he proved that often. Trump is a can do kind of guy. Hands on. He will govern just fine.

Better yet, how about walking by thousands in a big circle and crushing people like Muslims in Mecca. Or even better, take swords and slice heads of children wide open to please Allah.

Well, if we're talking about the celebratory retard, no. He never represented either mine, yours, or America's values. 21st Century American values. Today is a day of mourning, not a day of celebrating. It is a day of recognizing weakness, not strength or pride. Trump fails to realize America needs to be globalist, not isolationist to keep up with the rest of the world. Obama realized this, Clinton realized this. The thing is, since I don't exercise fascist byproducts like nationalism, and that I don't have a family, I doubt I would be getting any of reactions this celebratory retard is getting.

We basically lost to someone who's intentions reek like a sewer. But this isn't about the elections outcome anymore, its been the shame he has brought to America.

The only shame brought to America has been done by the Democrats and their childishness. The world has gotten to see them for what they really are -------babies... it is very sad that they nothing more than a bunch of Peter Pans...

That sir, is fabricated shame. The real shame is found in the Anti-American values Trump possesses. The Anti-American values we need to apologize for, the fecal matter that has risen to the top that was meant to stay at the bottom. If Hillary Clinton could understand America needs to stay globalist, what does that say about Trump who wants to isolate America in a bubble?

I suspect that future Americans will look back on this day as a particularly black day in our history. I suspect that there are Americans celebrating today who will one day soon look on this day the same way some Germans look back on January 30, 1933...the day Adolf Hitler legally assumed power. My guess is that they will be thinking, "What were we thinking?"

Very unusual for me to be sad or disappointed.

Mostly I am up-beat...no matter the trials and tribulations of life.

Today I am both sad and disappointed.
