This is something that actually surprises me. I've known they aren't really America first, but to have so many now coming out and just bald-faced admitting that they are... global-firsters, rather than America-firsters is actually shocking. Why the sudden honesty? I know that Trump's inauguration has something to do with it, but why now, rather than before Trump became President? You guys do know that you've proven Alex Jones right. You really are globalists!

Yeah, I can see that, but why now? Why weren't they willing to just come out and admit it before the inauguration? At least that would have been honest.
Modern day progressivism is basically Trotskyism with Alinsky tactics being employed. They believe in a permanent revolution that extends outward to all borders. They are one-worlders, in that their ideal goal is for all countries to be controlled by the same global authority, who would redistribute everything equally. This concept is nothing new. John Lennon sang about a world without borders in his left-wing manifesto "Imagine" 46 years ago.
Yeah, I know they have always been globalists. I'm asking why come out with it full force now? They've never ever done this before. Globalists, yes, but honesty? If Hillary had won, they wouldn't be talking about this now. They would have just hung in the shadows and praised every globalist agenda that Hillary came up with. But now they're all... 'well to hell with being quiet!". and coming right out and admitting that they really don't care about America.
Anti-globalization is traditionally a left wing/socialist position. However, over the years even socialist countries like China (thanks in part to the econmic developements made in Hong Kong) have come to terms that the most prosperous countries in the world are the countries that sign free trade agreements. There are no prosperous nations in the modern world with protectionist economies
I'm not inherently against globalization. But the state of the world as it is now simply wont work. Other countries will take care of themselves first, we should do the same. As soon as we are good, then we can look into helping others. But open borders is a terrible idea.
The idea of helping another country through aid has never worked. There is no example of a third world country being able to achieve first world or even second world status through aid. The only effective method of achieving economic prosperity is through trade.
Haha. It's funny you mention that. I remember thinking that song was so good as a kid, and then upon really listening to the lyrics after studying globalism, I can't stand the thought of Lennon. The most negative people on earth are those who never confronted their demons, and instead grew elaborate masks of positive justifications. For many, a feat that happened so long ago they don't even remember why or how. Globalists, feminists (any self hating anything), atheists, all forms of collectivists, etc. All these institutions are littered with them. I myself am admittedly guilty of it when it comes to how I treat women. I'm not MGTOW gay, and I'm not Red Pill ruthless. I'm more Leykis 101. I know it stems from passed BS, but I don't care. My brain isn't wired that way anymore. I'm afraid it is probably the same with those who fall into the other camps, politically.
Thanks for posting that up to date world map. Frankly it's the most accurate I've seen. It really clears up the distortion resulting from projecting a globe onto a flat surface.
In the short term, isolationism-driven policies may seem like they are putting, "America First" but in the long term, they are actually putting "America Last." Alex Jones is not one you should be crediting, he's the guy who thinks lizard people actually exist. It's this simple. To be a GLOBAL power, you have to exercise GLOBALIST policies. Global is not part of isolationism.
No, he doesn't believe in lizard people. I think you're confusing him with david icke. He's always been that guy protesting in front of bilderberg meetings, or sneaking into that forest in california where politicians pray to a big owl. I don't think we want to be a global power any more. Just leave us alone, and we'll watch the festivities during the next asian or european land war from the safety of our lazyboys.
Well, it's not quite that simple. IMO most of us feel all major powers have the right to control their own spheres of influence, as long as they're not too oppressive. We would still want to control our own, including some of our fishing grounds that were stupidly handed over to the UN, if they were not handled properly to ensure fisheries remain viable...
So, you're saying you want America to be a weak nation in the eyes of the world, simply by rejecting what it needs to operate smoothly with the rest of the world? Okay then.
No problems mate = I am used to the American right not understanding the term "global" after years of discussing climate change. Seems most think that one snowstorm in "Whataloosa" means global warming has stopped - they seem not to understand that it is a bigger world than just the local store
Why isn't it that simple? Trump ran on a protectionist America first platform, and he won. I really do think it is that simple. We tried for many years to be the super power, and it is not working. The vietnam war, korean war, Iraq, Afghanistan... it's not working. If there is another world war, I can pretty much guarantee you that we're going to sit it out. That would be a good thing. All of the resources spent fighting the first two world wars, and got nothing for our troubles. We lost the vietnam war, and now they're communists. We came to a stalemate in Korea, and you can see how that turned out. South Korea was not annexed, and they enjoy all the benefits while providing nothing other than friendship in return. Japan was not annexed, and that has resulted in nothing but friendship, but with nothing in return. I think we can be friends without dying for those people. We can trade without fighting their wars. We can do business with communist countries without becoming communists. It's time for team America to retire from the world police academy.
That is fine - you can pay an extra 400% on all white goods and electronics. You can pay the extra for tools and essentials. Want run away inflation - might be coming to a store near you soon.
Winning a popular vote does not mean the guy in charge knows diddly squat about economics - been watching our TV here and nearly every economist in the world is very very worried about Trump and what they see as a looming disaster And if you think life as a "superpower" sucks try life in a third world country!! BTW update yourself - there has been a few more wars since Vietnam and at least 2 were started by a Republican President and were NOT REQUIRED!!!
I believe we are in agreement, unless you are OK with US lands and territories being taken over by others.
Small price to pay for being independent. Eventually energy costs will increase prices of foreign goods in any case. Foreign goods should be like exotic spices--a nice seasoning, but not essential to our well being, as one never knows when they could be cut off for strategic reasons.
Have you ever been to where the dragons are on that map? If you have, you would understand that you don't understand the term "global" either. You're just a stranger in a strange land trying to figure out how to brush your teeth without drinking the water. You're not going back home with another foreign language under your belt. You're not coming back with a deeper understanding of the culture, and you're not going to have any of your lefty friends vitally curious about your travels. You'll just be happy to say "I got lost on the Tokyo subway system". What you will learn is that you know a whole lot less about the world than you originally thought you knew.
Of course I'm not cool with our land being taken over. I just don't see a point in worrying about land that isn't ours.
