Yes Chicago, once known as the Windy City, but now better identified as Chiraq and Obamastan. After coming off a record number of shootings and over 800 total homicides, it looks like another "hot" year in the 2nd City. After a slow start the bangers are off, running and gunning. Already for this weekend and with time left on the shot clock there have been 8 homicides and 13 others wounded. Total score for year is 23 dead and 121 total shot. Now the DOJ has issued a scathing report about "racism" involving the Chicago PD. Rest assured that CHP has responded by going even more fetal and issuing a huge middle finger to the DOJ in the process. As I see it, Rahm and "Special Ed" Johnson have a mess on their hands. They'll refuse federal aid till the blood bath gets so bad that it can't be ignored. Could this be the record breaking year for homicides in Chicago, the year they break the 1000 homicide mark?
No liberal will admit their programs don't work, even at the expense of the very people they have convinced that they are there to help. I for one don't believe at this point you can hire enough cops to stop the atrocities when you handcuff them with the threat of law suits. The citizens of chiraq need to understand their liberal government isn't there to keep them safe, they are there to protect their ideology and the liberal message. I honestly feel sorry for the honest law abiding citizens of Chicago and other places where them and their families are sacrificed because they have been sold a bill of goods.
No debate there, however it's the innocents that are getting killed. The shootings are rapidly increasing on the expressways and spreading out of gangland.
Dead violent gang members don't bother me as much as the liberals that will use this statistic of dead men to further push their anti gun narrative.
Likely because those that are dead are members of their voting constituents, and the presidential election proved that they cannot afford to lose any more.
First of all... define gun extremist. Is anyone who owns a firearm a gun extremist? Is anyone who wants to protect the 2nd amendment of our constitution an extremist? What exactly did they do to Chicago? Did they encourage the drug wars that are responsible for the gang activity? Did they loosen the law against felons possessing firearms?
I think only Trump and a new DOJ can save Chicago. Sessions should bypass the Chicago and County police agencies completely and go straight for the throat of violent gangs----throwing the book at them for every federal RICO, gun and gang law they can find. Because virtually every gang member is of Black and Hispanic ethnicity, those are going to be the vast majority arrested. The Left will squeal----but we know they are the real pigs.
Wow! You're right. Them gun toters musta caused all this mess because of the lax gun laws there. Oh wait, Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws.
Meanwhile update Chicago: As of this morning 31 confirmed kills after the last weekend left 10 dead. The PD has gone from policing to observers. You can hardly blame them because if you look at the zip codes where all of the homicides occur, BLM matter. Prediction for this weekend 5 dead and an additional 25 wounded. Rahm doesn't want to be in the news this weekend.
Chicago: As of this AM, total confirmed kills is 38 and is already ahead of last years banner year for shootings. And my predictions? A total of 4 killed and 37 wounded, one under for killed and way over for the wounded with plenty of shooting time on the clock. Yet we had a "hairy legged woman" march in Chicago, protesting God knows what except getting their butt's kicked in the election. You'd figure they would have put their energies to something more useful like preventing the ongoing blood bath in Chiraq. But no, there is strict gun control in Chicago, a city that makes it impossible to have a gun range within the city limits. Yet the left will bellyache about lack of training for civilians. Meanwhile the bangers have their own range, the streets and homes of Chicago.
Meanwhile in Chicago. The CPD by the middle of the month of 2017 has a dismal 4% homicide clearance rate. It's really open season.
How does gun control affect the ability of CPD to close homicide cases? The national average is about 67% with much less restrictive gun laws. If there's a relationship between homicide clearance rate and restrictive gun laws, the data would suggest that fewer restrictions are better.
