Thinking of the Obama stimulus of 2009? Over eight hundred billion dollars for everything under the sun
and somehow the massive dam in Oroville was by passed.

Yep, that's what happened when Republican governors created a manufactured crisis, when they turned down the medicaid expansion.

So, cat got your tongue about 2011 and the failure of the Republican controlled congress to pass an infrastructure bill? No surprises there.

What if they're trying to lure poor people into the state so they can sell their body parts to Hollywood movie stars? I hope it's not the case but I wouldn't be surprised.

Before blasting California you need to check your own state and how much money they send to the federal government versus hat they get from the Feds. California pays more in then they receive. So, if your state is receiving more then they pay in..you can thank California for it.

Half a billion in 2009 would have easily fixed the dam. Instead that money went to Solyndra, i.e. down the drain (and that doesn't even count the $25 million tax break from the State of California). Why would the Senate give Obama another blank check for his "shovel ready jobs" lie?

Go for it! California's giant brained leftists will, like Vermonters, also be disappointed to discover that the only way nonsense like this "works" is if you have a central banking cartel and authority to print money.

Not at all! Do you not understand what the American Recovery and Reinvestment in America Act of 2009 was all about?

Over eight hundred billion dollars to repair things like the Oroville dam and apparently, not a damn thing was done! Those "shovel ready" infrastructure jobs used to hustle the congress and public into giving him his money and everything BUT the infrastructure was showered in money (it was very low on the list of priorities https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Recovery_and_Reinvestment_Act_of_2009).

I'm not surprised that after being burned once by Obama congress did not choose to stick it's hand in the oven again when the president urged them to.

Maybe if Obama had been even slightly honest and conscientious about all the money he got the first time he asked for it poor uneducated folks like you wouldn't be whining about the money he didn't get two years later. Am I supposed to feel bad about that? LOL....

Evidenced by the state being deeply in debt.

    Oh wait...

But paying more for illegals, and attracting more illegals, will certainly fix this problem.

You do know, that after the collapse, that cookie jar was empty before it could ever be called a jar of cookies, right? It was never even close enough and all of us knew it. Our economy collapsed. Are you not aware of how bad it really was? Of course not! It's not convenient to know.

Solyndra defaulted on their $535 million loan. That's money that didn't fix the Orroville dam. Try to keep up.

Dude, I am working, we get breaks ya know.

As for that $300 billion, it's amazing how illegals can't contribute that to their native economy unless us white boys get things going for them, eh?

As for your $250mm daughter, all I can say is Only One? My first 5 kids have all started multi billion dollar businesses, that is, after they each earned multiple Ph.D.s and Medals of Honor. My other 5 kids are up for Oscars this year, their seventh time.

But here you are, related to $250mm and you're on this board.

We spent MANY times that on our military, and THAT didn't fix the dam, either.

We also upgraded our nuclear bombs (which isn't a military budget item!!) and not even THAT fixed the dam.

It seems to make no impression at all on you that Obama got nearly a trillion dollars from congress under false circumstances (saying he needed the money for one thing while doing quite another with it).

After you discover that all the money given to your brother in law to fix his car went towards drinking binges and prostitutes I suppose you would be inclined to do it all over again? Of course you would! You are a leftist...and they just don't care about other people's money or the trickle down idiocy that's never been demonstrated to work thinking government can print up more money, give it away and think it will have any long lasting or rehabilitative effect to it
    at all!

There was a study back in 2006 by the federal government before Obama was even running for president and before the economic crash, that said the dam was not yet ready to be repaired yet. So, how would this have been a shovel ready jobs lie by Obama when the study happened before he decided to run for president; http://www.snopes.com/california-divert-dam-repair-funds/?

Their unfunded liabilities need to be paid first, I would think.

Unless you wanna go the standard route of just kicking the can down the road (also see: America, U.S.)

I don't know where you've lived, but I've worked in London and The Hague. I kept my company insurance, and at British doctors they have different lines for each. One of them went faster. In the Netherlands, I needed to see an orthopedist, and the people at the specialist office were stunned when I didn't have a referral.

So there is a difference. How much of a difference is a matter of preference.

Sounds like a good plan .............................for California. It will more than likely be the tipping point that will make many Republicans or conservatives that had been thinking of leaving the state do so. Moon Beam sincerely believes in the redistribution of wealth.

My new insurance company requires a referral for specialists even though I have the most expensive insurance I can buy.

So, I'm not all that surprised about your Netherlands experience.

Were my insurance the only insurance in the US, a specialist would expect there to have been a referral here, too.

When you start to tally up that fantasy tab you speak about, you be sure to send it our way for full review will you? I had forgotten just how much my brother-in-law spent on that woman?
Leftists care about accurate math. Something the Right was/ is totally clueless about when the crash hit and afterwards.

It's called an "analogy" and intelligent people use this device to help less intelligent people understand a concept or principle. But then, you'd have to understand what concepts and principles are, wouldn't you?

You mean the recession, don't you? What does that have to do with a stealth leftist president who gets gobs of money given to him under false pretenses?

Ah, the truth hurts, one successful daughter and poor old Steve is still back in his festering jealous, uneducated insults. Bragging about pebble beach where anyone can get on. Still no bragging about cypress point and Augusta national I notice. I keep telling him, you have to give up your cargo shorts Steve. Dead giveaway for non class
