I remember hearing that some abortions were done but I don't think it was as wide spread, on demand big business factory thing as it is now

The law empowered slave owners as the law empowers the mother over her aborted child (aka property).

No, the law doesn't create abortion, abortion exists independent of the law. Slavery does not (since it is, by definition, property law applied to humans).

No one wants to force them to be pregnant though. ;)

Abortion has been around for thousands of years....it has always been done....it is not a "big business factory" thing. It is done in clinics and those who perform it get paid like anyone else who does medical procedures...

Abortion is still murder though. Call it a "necessary evil" if you want. It won't change the fact that it is murder.

You realise that if the pro-life camp is suddenly called "anti choice", the pro-choice camp would have to be referred to as "anti life", right? :p

Ways to solve the moral dilemma of abortion:

    1. Guys: Hold your zippers! Women: Close your legs!

    2. If your urge is too strong, but you don't want to become a parent, then make sure you use contraceptives or have intercourse in a way that won't result in the creation of life.

    3. Be a responsible adult, be cautious and always think twice.

    4. Find a boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife whom you would not mind sharing parenthood with. There is no point in "sleeping around" anyways.

    5. Realise that we all once were "nothing but a ball of cells" and stop objectifying little babies. Start seeing them for what they are; subjects.

It really is not harder than this.

Because they are retarded and care more for savage animals than they do for human beings.

There was a survey where they asked whom one would save if one was losing control of their vehicle and in order to stop it, turning right or left are the only opitions. However, on the right there is a three year old playing and on the left there are a group of kitty cats. Some people actually chose to save the cats(!!!!!!!!!!!!)

No, as usual there was no logic in that statement.

"Pro-life" is not really "Pro-Life" because the only "life " they care about is the fetuses.

Pro-Choice is correct since they are all about protecting women's right to choose. That does not make them Anti-Life.

Abortion is not a moral dilemma .

Preaching abstinence hasn't worked in about 10,000 years , maybe you should give up....

NO one is obligated to use birth control.

A responsible adult who doesn't want or can't afford a kid aborts.

Sleeping around has a point, it's fun.

Baby's are "subjects" ? Whatever...they have nothing to do with abortion.

A fetus is not a naturally born person and therefore is not "executed" as defined under the Law of the Land.

If it is "murder" then are you willing to arrest, try, convict and execute 1,000,000 women each and every year?

Every small town had a woman who did abortions or in some cases the town pharmacist did them.

Abortion is a big business (centered on the loss of rights/death) as slavery once and still is (nothing new under the sun). The marketing and selling of the dismembered parts of the aborted unborn's bodies has become another source of domestic commerce for the abortion industry. A Predictably Dark Unnatural Diversification of the Abortion Industry. Abortion, a very profitable business centered on and encompassing the exclusive goal of bringing about the death of the unborn.

The law/ruling/opinion empowered the expectant mother with the ability to openly engage in the ending of her unborn child's life just as the law empowered the slave owner to openly control every aspect of the life of his slave. The law/judicial rulings take things out of the shadows or forces the behavior into it.

Birth is the natural result of a successful pregnancy. One can no more force the birth than force the pregnant woman to not give birth, absent any direct foriegn intervention/interaction/trauma to the mother or her unborn child. Birth is designed into the body and the bodily processes of the expectant mother. Can a pregnant woman simply will the birth not to take place?

No. Members of a generation preceding mine have told me (in conversations) that abortions had taken place, in a medical setting, many decades prior to the American 1973 case ruling of RvsW. So, though there were laws on the books prohibiting abortion, the practice though not on the today's numerical scale, did take place back then. First portion of the last century. I wouldn't call these folks "extremist alt right", they were just sharing what they personally new of history.

A bit of hyperbole? How many murderers are arrested, tried and convicted in the same year? Now lynching or abortions I would have to say that your time line is correct as these happen lickety-split.

Regurgitating debunked disinformation from the extremist anti-abortion sites is not doing your credibility any favors.

It is a violation of the Law of the Land to sell fetal body parts.

80% of abortions are medically induced via a pill that costs around $600. After you take out the overheads of medical staff, accomodations, equipment, etc, there is no "big business profit" to be made. If there was then explain why it has never happened? Why is it that there are no shareholder owned corporations that market and sell abortions for profit anywhere in the world nevermind just here in the USA?
