Greenhouse gases absorb radiation from the sun. More gas leads to more radiation absorption.

Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas.

The chemical processes that drive our cars, fly our planes, or operate any motor with oil-based fuel give off carbon dioxide as a byproduct of this chemical reaction.

And most obviously, we wouldn't be burning this fuel if we hadn't built all this machinery that burns oil, adds carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, and absorbs radiation from the sun.

There's a very simple display here at the Science Museum of Minnesota that demonstrates this.

If you deny that climate change is caused by us, you HAVE to disprove one of the unassailable facts above. You realize that, right?

Why even bother discussing solutions right now when there are so many climate change deniers out there? The first step in achieving any change is getting everyone on board with the fact that it's a problem.

You know the first step of Alcoholics Anonymous, yeah? And you know that the program is successful? Do you think maybe the first step has anything to do with that?

Water vapor is, by far, the most common of all green house gasses.
Water vapor is currently at its highest levels on record. And so are CO2 levels.

    So..... Answer these two questions:

Does water vapor deflect more heat or absorb more heat?

And, does water vapor provide a barrier from letting the oceans absorb more heat?

The gas itself, obviously, absorbs heat. It wouldn't be a "greenhouse gas" if it did not absorb heat. It deflects sunlight when it forms into clouds (I assume that's what you're trying to get at here), but water vapor that forms into clouds will quickly dissipate. Most water vapor in the atmosphere lasts there for only a few days whereas CO2 lasts much, much longer and is much harder to remove from the atmosphere.

Again, you are basically saying "water vapor forms clouds which deflect sunlight" which is pretty misleading. Here's a good source on the subject:

    https://www.newscientist.com/articl...s-co2-isnt-the-most-important-greenhouse-gas/

The last line here is the most important. "What is certain is that, in the jargon of climate science, water vapour is a feedback, but not a forcing." Essentially this means that water vapor in the atmosphere is a RESULT of the climate changes that is happening but is not actually CAUSING changes. Most scientists agree that the increase in water vapor is a positive feedback loop, meaning that when increased CO2 levels add more water vapor to the atmosphere, that increased water vapor absorbs more heat and actually INCREASES the effect. Positive feedback loop.

Then why was it warmer in the years between 1000 and 1200?????????????

Maybe it leads to a lot more radiation absorption, maybe a little more radiation absorption, maybe nada, zero, no more radiation absorption. Nobody knows for a fact the non-linearity of the fundamental forcing equation. Scientists assume it is linear because they do not know what else to do.

For one, greenhouse gasses absorb very little (almost none) radiation from the sun.

Do your homework. CO2 increases the greenhouse effect of water vapor

And man pumps 40 billion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere every year.

    TONS of GAS

    Billions

There is no credible proof that this is so. Your "facts" are assailable, they are based on nothing more than the repetition of pseudo scientific claims none of which has a basis in truth. Climate change is a hoax designed to bilk billions of dollars from taxpayers. Think about the sanctity of the air you breath and the space you occupy they are the most basic human rights. The horse pucky called your carbon footprint and carbon credits would force everyone to lease the air they breath and the space they occupy. This is evil to it's core.

When skeptics use this argument, they are trying to imply that an increase in CO2 isn't a major problem. If CO2 isn't as powerful as water vapor, which there's already a lot of, adding a little more CO2 couldn't be that bad, right? What this argument misses is the fact that water vapor creates what scientists call a 'positive feedback loop' in the atmosphere— making any temperature changes larger than they would be otherwise.

How does this work? The amount of water vapor in the atmosphere exists in direct relation to the temperature. If you increase the temperature, more water evaporates and becomes vapor, and vice versa. So when something else causes a temperature increase (such as extra CO2 from fossil fuels), more water evaporates. Then, since water vapor is a greenhouse gas, this additional water vapor causes the temperature to go up even further—a positive feedback.

How much does water vapor amplify CO2 warming? Studies show that water vapor feedback roughly doubles the amount of warming caused by CO2. So if there is a 1°C change caused by CO2, the water vapor will cause the temperature to go up another 1°C. When other feedback loops are included, the total warming from a potential 1°C change caused by CO2 is, in reality, as much as 3°C

There's so many things wrong with the Climate Change Theory it should embarrass anyone promoting it. First off, the chart below shows CO2 at geologically record lows. But more importantly is that science questions, REAL science does not believe any old crap democrats want to control the population with.

No one knows. Some people smoke their whole lives or drink like fish and their lungs are perfect and liver spotless. Your odds are obviously low but it happens. Some people eat bacon and fat their whole lives and live into their 90s. Others die at 50. No one knows.
