Moses was competing with the Odyssey when he wrote Genesis. You can't take that crap literally. It is great fiction though.
here's the other problem, everyone seems to think all 'cracks' are visible, and those that cannot be seen by your eye, or for egg to get out of, are also not big enough for that bacteria to move into. Once the bacteria is inside, it behooves you to refrigerate to reduce reproduction. In short you don't know if the cleaning solution is consistent or applied consistently. You don't know if cross contamination happened post cleaning or pasteurization , and you don't know if there are minute cracks through which bacteria can gain entry. So it is smarter to assume the worst and keep that egg below forty until you intend to use it. that shell is like a insulated house, but sometimes...well... you know how that works.
Refrigerators use like 6 times the daily electricity as televisions. In the name of global warming we must stop refrigerating eggs. Hot eggs produced the greatest works of literature. Cold eggs produced Taylor Swift and the Kardashians.
Refrigeration of food is the most important use of energy. It should be highest priority since food is the most important issue in life. Bicycles and mass transit are where we can save the most energy.
Buy foods in tins, dehydrated, or pickled. Refrigerated food will go bad as you are peddling down the street with them on a ninety degree day.
Milk, cheese, butter, meat, anything in jars, yogurt, cream, ice cream, frozen vegies, frozen meats, etc. and their transportation all require refrigeration. Food is more important than anything else. So refrigeration and the energy required for it must be the highest priority. Transportation is in 2nd place. National defense and world peace is in 3rd. These 4 are more important than anything else.
Water is more important than a single thing you posted, and food's importance is not dependent on refrigeration. That you think transportation is the second most important thing and that we should be riding bikes is a bit incongruent.
Water falls from the Heavens sent by God. We need more reservoirs and aqueducts yes. That is actually also related to food production. The thread stared on eggs, a food, and has now been jacked over to water -- a totally different topic. Maybe you should start a new thread on energy resources and allocation. That would be interesting.
You must know nothing of them if you do not see water is being a critical component. You need water to determine if an egg is safe to eat. If it sinks, she is good to go. If she floats, toss her to the curb.........and your bicycle comment was totally on subject
I lived in South Africa/Rhodesia during the late 1970's where they feature a half-time pause at the cinema, at which time you can stand at their in-house bar and drink alcoholic 'refreshments'.
Try the breakfast at Subway. Nearly all European women shave their armpits these days. It wasn't that long ago that many women (in Germany particularly) did not shave their legs either. My wife still today does not shave her armpits or her legs, although she's not from Germany. I prefer it that way. Shaving legs/armpits, smoking, drugs, silly-cone titties, botox lips, high-heeled shoes, excessive cosmetics ..... it's all a waste of human endeavour as far as I am concerned.
I'm sure I've seen Cinemas with bars before... Prince Charles Cinema (Leicester Square) springs to mind.. https://princecharlescinema.com/PrinceCharlesCinema.dll/Home The Roxy, there's a bar there, though I admit I once had a coffee there in the afternoon once in a little business meeting of sorts, once - I'm sure there was booze there too... http://www.roxybarandscreen.co.uk/ Made me think real quick 'have I seen this before?/I'm sure I've seen this before/I'm sure you can get alcohol at the cinema'..
There's also http://dialacrate.com/ but in the US, they have (I've not seen this in person but on YouTube);
Hmm.. - I've never been. I've saw this in Amsterdam.. I'm from London so this was something extraordinary for me (like getting weed with a receipt)... They didn't sell or serve you pot at this place; you had to bring it yourself, but they had a special area where you could smoke your own pot and drink their beer; Nonetheless, this still caught my eye; seeing it advertised like that...
Tbh, I'm still swooning over dialacrate even though dialcrate doesn't sell my drink. http://dialacrate.com/ 24/7 booze delivery. Loving the idea.
