It's greener, healthier, smoother, think tea like cappuccino without any coffee or milk; that's matcha, only matcha boosts your metabolism ten fold and has a chemical that specifically burns belly fat. But it's really nice; creamy but light.
Very interesting. I haven't seen this type of tea anywhere, but I haven't been looking. I will have to try some.
Although I vaguely remember hearing of this I don't recall seeing it anywhere. I will definitely seek it out though. Thank you.
I've finally found it. https://www.japancentre.com/en/search?instock=false&page=3&per_page=24&term=matcha&utf8=✓ This is where I've chosen to go, but only because I know where this is in person, but I'm sure there are Japanese places and internet shops the world over. This picture is from another British shop specialising in Japan, but... This product, I can see by that link shared, can be found in the one I know. I was like a twisted Seymour Skinner in my soul when I couldn't find it on British soil though. - but it really helps to know the name. It's called Matcha. (I'm telling the forum as much as I'm telling me) 'Matcha' (So I learn it and don't ask for Machacha); Matcha... **Editor's note; - I am aware that technically it was on British soil, but, you know what I mean, it being something I've only ever had or seen at a foreign embassy toyed with me a little too, of course, calling it 'Powered Ocha' for 10 years didn't help.
I have googled it and it seems to be freely available where I am so I will seek some out when I go shopping. Let's then see if I remain calm and if my memory enhances lol Purported benefits ... High in Antioxidants Loaded with Catechin EGCg Enhances calm Boosts memory and concentration Increases energy levels and endurance Burns calories Detoxifies the body Fortifies the immune system Regulates cholesterol and blood sugar
OK I found some in my travels at a local Japanese grocery store. Not bad. Not as bitter as Green Tea and more palatable, although it tastes like seaweed ... which I don't mind. Cheers RoL
Was it 'frothy'? I'm scared that, if I buy it, and make it, it won't be frothy... So much so (this fear of mine about home brewing it) that a couple of Matcha bars have caught my eye too. -But you've tried and made it yourself, so I ask; was it frothy? Did you whisk it?
Lol, don't worry, I've just found this. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=p...ceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#q=how+to+make+matcha+tea and with this link I feel confident of getting the results I want with this tea.
Same for coffee plus bronchodilation. Do you know why is the sole coffee nation among previously Brit tea nations? Really. Do y'know?
I didn't whisk it because I didn't know you were supposed to as the instructions were ALL in Japanese. Apparently you can whisk it just as successfully with a fork, without the need to buy a special tool. I haven't had a cup yet today but, when I do, I will use a fork.
Probably the notion of rejecting the Brit influence. Or perhaps you are all addicted to caffeine which could also account for your massively high Coke/Cola consumption.
I prefer to believe the Pirates of the Caribbean sold Latin American produced coffee to the American colonies cheaper than the Brits could sell their tea. Piracy included illegal trade with anothers colonies. That's why is uniquely coffee consuming compared to the rest of his/her majesty's empire. <ta - da> gimme a "like"
OK but just because you asked nicely! Johnny Depp would be proud You realise that you must reciprocate though right?
https://www.amazon.com/Jewish-Pirates-Caribbean-Swashbuckling-Freedom/dp/0767919521 The Caribbean was like a Walmart. Selling goods for less than colonials would get from their mother country. Also providing goods the mother country did not, such as coffee. Very interesting book for a different perspective. Before I found this book I was aware that coastal cities of the southern colonies fenced the pirates' goods. And anyone aware of the Pirates Code as us kids from the fifties were, knew they elected a captain, and could likewise unelect him. Also a disability policy of payment for disabling wounds. All worked out. A hand was worth so much, an eye, etc. The book linked above made me think, "How Jewish" the pirates code was and things made more sense. Yo Ho Ho.
All very interesting. Thank you. BTW I don't drink coffee period. I can't stand the smell of it let alone the taste!
Omg! Are you serious? The smell of freshly boiled coffee in the morning is like the most beautiful thing there is.
All these new sorts of "tea" that are available at coffee shops such as "chai lattes" and whatnots that hipster-like college-students and other tasteless idiots like to pour down their faces are absolutely awful. I must say. It is the epithome of a little girl's drink. Cute colour and ridiculously sweet. Ew.
