"We have back-channel communications with a number of countries", “What that allows you to do is communicate in a discreet manner, so I’m not concerned.” ~ McMaster said Saturday.

It's called the Christmas tree effect. Anyone can file a lawsuit. For instance the Benghazi suit against Hillary by the parents just got tossed.

That's true and Trump threatened to sue over 200 times during his campaign.

Okay, back for the detailed reply.

Your response seems to sum up as, "I gave you two pieces of evidence that Kushner is smart. Dismissing one of those doesn't invalidate the other, so Kushner is still smart."

Which is fine. Except I never said anything one way or another about whether I thought Kushner was smart. I am COMPLETELY UNINTERESTED in that. I am merely taking issue with one of your pieces of evidence.

You accuse me of reading comprehension problems, but you:
    -- Incorrectly thought I had accused you of claiming Obama was an affirmative-action admission;
-- Incorrectly think I've expressed any opinion at all about Kushner's intelligence.

So it is simply an objective fact that you didn't pay attention to what I wrote, and instead jumped to a bunch of unsupported and incorrect assumptions.

If you disagree, please link to the place where I did either of the above.

Otherwise, please acknowledge this fact. It is impossible to have a discussion with someone who can't admit they made a mistake.

As I said, providing a link proving a negative is difficult. I gave you a link to a story that said "neither have other presidential candidates released their college records." That and the fact that there are no links showing voluntary release is the best evidence available. It's the dog that didn't bark.

In addition, earlier in this thread another poster put up a link to WND, a birther site wanting Obama to release his records. Their story cited the fact that we know the grades of some other candidates -- but even that story had to acknowledge that where we have the grades, they were the result of leaks, not voluntary release.

If WND can't find a case where candidates released their grades, it is likely no such case exists, because they have strong motivation to find one.

    See above.

Kushner's grades were too poor to get him into Harvard. His father donated 2.5 million to the school.. and he still went elsewhere for lawschool.

What official position did Kushner have at the time that he could go behind the back of a sitting president to promote a back channel secret communication with a hostile nation? Answer, there are secret business deals with Russia that the Trump administration doesn't want our intelligence to know about. And like eco said, they either sent a willing accomplice in there ahead of the inauguration, or the guy is nothing more than a bumbling idiot?

And, they did it with a common citizen behind the back of a sitting president, with a hostile nation. That is a treasonous act.

That's all you can give us? Give us some details as to why this is nothing?

Nothing to indicate a crime has taken place, so Trump assessment of Kushner is the only one that matters.

And no one will. There simply is no legitimate excuse, other than there is something to hide. It's not like Trump (a), had any interest in foreign policy. and (b), he knows absolutely nothing about foreign policy.

Trump took a huge gamble in having his private citizen son-in-law go and violate the Espionage Act by asking the Russians to have a back channel of communications to the Kremlin, while trying to keep it a secret from our intelligence community.

And here's something else that was totally reckless. Kushner is a Jew. Who are the people who are going to get blamed for this fiasco once the dust is settled and they find out all this was a big boo boo on the part of the Trump mafia? That's right, the Jews. It was those (*)(*)(*)(*) Jews. I can hear it now.

"Nothing to indicate a crime"?:roflol::roflol::roflol:This cat had no official position with the government. He was a private citizen who went and committed espionage against a sitting president to form a back channel of communications with a hostile country to keep that communications secret from our own intelligence. And you say there is "nothing to indicate a crime"? :roflol::roflol::roflol: (*)(*)(*)(*) boss, are you high?

Is your judgement so bad that you think a person who sought the top-secret security clearance that would give him access to some of the nation’s most closely guarded secrets, requiring him to disclose all encounters with foreign government officials over the last seven years, but who instead did not mention dozens of contacts with foreign leaders or officials in recent months....

and who tried to hide Flynn's contacts with Russians...

and then tried to set up a "back channel" line of communication with the Kremlin secretly and keep it from Intelligence, .... did nothing that needs a serious investigation?

Lines of communication with the Kremlin may be ok but only if cleared through and done in coordination with Intelligence, and with the knowledge of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

If anyone thinks Jared can't be this stupid, remember his dad hired a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law -- taped it & sent it to his sister

Their whole position is indefensible. I can't even imagine the outrage if a Democrat had done this.

Only very smart clever human beings can rise to the top in a ruthlessly competitive political system. Anyone who can't understand that is either naive or willfully foolish.

Talking to Russians isn't illegal. Not for US citizens, or US diplomats. Accept it.

The leftists will stop at nothing to try to pry Trump from the WH even if it harms the US.

All communications between a President's staff and foreign ambassador are diplomatic communications.

And Kushner, (private citizen ), goes to Kislyak to request a back channel line of communications to the Kremlin to keep it secret from our own intelligence, doing all of this behind the back of a sitting president, and that doesn't harm the U.S.?

    Trump wasn't president in 2016.

Why didn't you answer the question?
