I had fish tacos at Kauai. Man it was very delicious. Corn really is supposed to be better anyway. I have flour tortillas on hand. And plan to have one today.

My daughter hauled me to a number of restaurants at Kauai. She tried to spoil me to get me to leave CA and move there where she lives. She works Sundays at one of the top end restaurants. She works 3 days at one with Tortilla in it's name. She makes a lot more on Sundays. But for a good cause. She is in the midst of getting to be a registered nurse. I saw her grades so far. Nothing but A grades.

It is great to have a daughter to be proud of. My daughter won a scholarship and is now attending a local college. She wants to work in the hospitality business. She won the State in culinary and culinary management. She had a total of 80,000 in scholarship money. But she couldn't use it all in one place. Great to be proud of the kids...and I am sure yours is a great one.

    Thanks and back to you.

I have two adult daughters that I was father to. I have step kids also. Saw them at Kauai and man are they also great, though step kids.

Daughter 1 has long had a degree. Daughter 2 will get one in the near term. She will start summer session in 2 days.
The one in college right now also has funds she was able to apply for and get. Her degree will be awarded by the Hawaii university system. Her brother is married to a RN and I asked her if she is why my daughter is going to be one too. She winked and said, could be!!!

How long has your daughter lived in Hawaii? I always wondered how long it would take to get island fever. No doubt that it's paradise, but it's also a LONG way from anything (which you figure out flying 4 hrs over water).

Heard there are two classes of tourists in Hawaii... rich folks and airline employees. Lol

She is 30 and moved there at age 18. Her mom dragged her there. She seems content there. It was about 80 degrees day and night. Sleeping in that huge home was easy. Open windows did not invite pests due to screens.

As it was getting dark, it was easy to see the small parrots flying over each evening. They wake up and fly back to high lands.

I asked about rising tides. I got a strange look and was told not to sweat high tides. That the pool never got high tides.

I am licensed to work in Ca and at my age find it easier to stay here than move there. But I am looking forward to going back.

BTW, I was there for 11 days so 4 days were at my daughters place. Me sleeping on a couch. LOL She has no means to afford the $10,000 per week the owner of the large home collects. My stepdaughter is paid to stay at the home so she made money off us staying there.

I have 6 step children that live there. I think I could have a place to stay for a few days were I to check with them. My daughter leads an active life by working 4 days per week as a Waitress as she studies to be a nurse. But you are right, having a relative there beats hotel rooms.

One of my step kids builds homes. And I think his present home has plenty of extra room. And we get along very well.

Fish tacos are just tilapia and salsa verde (green) on a flour or corn tortilla.

    I love fish tacos !!

Mexico has as much if not more sea food and fish than the USA.

I learned that from vacationing in Cozumel and LaPaz.

Putting it on a flour or corn tortilla makes perfect sense.

This is where the shrimp/prawn kasadia comes from.

    And also the fish taco.

    I love them both.

In Mexico you can pretty much put anything on a tortilla to make a burrito.

    Corn { now ALL Corn } is Monsanto seed.meaning it's a GMO.
Which will cause major health problems down the road.
The more we know about GMO,the more it's the new evil.
Actually you { we as humans } cannot trust what we are being
    led to believe.Take - Global Warming - renamed - Climate Change -.
DDT actually saved many, many human lives.Used in WWII and then
throughiut the U.S. and other countries in the 50's,60's.
It stopped the huge spread of malaria.Which is debilitating.
But nets do not stop mosquitos.
Yet we were led to believe that DDT is some super hazardous
    human killer.
DDT became the new political tool in the Liberal cabals bag of
tools for deceit.DDT does kill more than mosquitos and other bugs.
But NOT " All Living Things ". That would,of course be Today's
    Liberals.

always thought DDT was part of the chemtrails that the government sprays in the air to make us docile to corruption.

didn't know mosquitoes were that bad.
