Okay, I respect your ideas. I don't agree with any of them, given I have one battle rifle and two AR's. However, all your clever ideas don't work in the real world. They fail massively in places like Chicago, Baltimore and Mexico. Liberals and Leftists don't enforce the laws that are on the books now. Why isn't every gang member caught using or having a stolen gun pushed to be given the maximum sentence by all your liberals in the courts and DA offices?

In the UK a few years ago, an older fellow saw a handgun in a dumpster. He took it out and called the police to report it and give the gun to them. He was prosecuted because he had touched the gun and temporarily had it is possession until the police arrived. In Germany, you must have a permit to even have a fake gun and pepper spray is illegal.

That is not true at all. If you analize U.S. crime statistics, on a State by State basis, New York State for instance, Hispanics, Mexicans & Blacks account for over 90% - 95% of the Prison population at any given time, when you subtract Minorities from the Crime figures, it drops down to levels well below the Crime average of other Nations. Minorities are more likely to commerce illegal drugs, fight other drug criminals in turf wars and other drug related crimes. It is also common that those people when charged with their first murder, they also have a long history of petty crimes, shop lifting, petty larceny, unarmed robbery, and finally graduate to murders, starting young, in their teens often enough. Upbringing, single parent homes, poverty all play a part, as well as living in a ghetto, the pressure to join a gang, sell illegal drugs, rob people for street creds or to raise money to buy drugs. I have observed how children brought up in families made up of Felons, drug dealers, and B&E experts etc.... Generally children raised by criminals tend to take up the family profession or trade. This is a viscious cycle, it perpetuates itself, also, minorities see LE as the man, an enemy to be fought, many hate anything good and eschew anything good and proper. There is no way to fix this problem and taking away good peoples guns, will not help.

I can pretty consistently hit a man sized target at 100M with a wrist rocket. I don't know about S2-something I played around with in my earlier years. of course having 30+ years as a tournament archer, shooting a slingshot is something I am pretty good at
Similiar. I have seen adapters for survivalists to shoot them with arrows but wonder on their effectiveness. For many centuries armies, like those of the Romans and Celts, deployed slingers as well as archers. Considering the size of projectile that can be thrown to distance, they were used more like light artillary units. Sling shot were found on the sites of many ancient battlefields including Masada, Jeruselum, and Alesia.... and Belfast. Wrapping the pouch loaded with a 3 plus oz shot turned the sling into a close quarters devastating impact weapon...a good stand off defense against knives or clubs.
yeah they operated like British archers-accuracy wasn't all that good but 1000 slingers lobbying iron or lead balls at you could ruin your whole campaign. Some used sticks that resembled the arm and sling of a trebuchet to get more range. roman slingers often used iron projectiles with snarky comments engraved on them or pictures like lightning bolts. Some roman slingers had projectiles with a hole in the middle so the sling was merely a piece of cord. that sling also made a fairly effective flail that was especially nasty against those armed with shields since the slinger could whip his sling with the iron ball over the shield right into the back of the head of his opponent
We had bows when I was in NI...even a few crossbows, but I don't remember them being used in skirmishes. What was used was a lesson taken from the ancient Chinese... rocket powered arrows... usually made by adapting fireworks or using drilled out CO2 cartridges filled with Match heads. Not too accurate but was a sight when a battery of 20 or 30 or more were fired... don't remember them being very effective. St. Bridget's bottles seemed more weapon of defense.
interesting. in the 50s and early sixties, with the space race with the USSR getting lots of attention, model rocketry was a big fad and CO2 cartridges with match heads were a field expedient rocket motor (we had these things called ESTES rockets you could buy in a hobby shop that were pretty amusing and you could use cannon fuse or a electric detonation fuse to launch them). I remember reading about people who had been injured or blinded when those CO2 "motors" blew up
I saw a documentary on slings, and mentioned was the account of David vs Goliath, and how accurate and powerful those slings were, launching a stone able to penetrate Goliaths skull.
