Your presentation of stats is false even by your own link. Over 2/3rds by your own poll want ObamaCare repeal in part or entirely.

The Democratic Congress had a worse approval rating. Congress always has dismal approval ratings - and voters re-elect their OWN member of Congress over 90% of the time.

Democrats may as well be the Green Party right now. They have been utterly annihilated at every level and branch of government. They are in no position to post nonsense like this.

Congress always has massive disapproval, while YOUR congressman usually has a very high approval. The rest are out for pork barrel spending, your guy is just trying to help kittens and cute children.

Trump's disapproval will either rise significantly or drop significantly based on the results of the investigation, and this will happen before 2020. What matters is the midterms.

 

The practical goal of both parties in congress is to stink less than the other.

Of course, a president's popularity/unpopularity impacts the performance of his party in midterm elections. It is the closest thing the American public has to an official referendum regarding him.

 

And the D's have been getting shellacked for the last decade.

Majorities are passé.

We have been split into factions of special interest groups. It is, therefore, no surprise that popularity numbers look low.

NonEstablishment voters - the type that voted for Trump - are very unhappy with Congress. Liberals aren't in power, so they're not happy with Congress.

Who's happy with Congress? Misled poll respondents who only like "their guy" and poll accordingly; country club GOPe Republicans who like the obstructionism of Trump - they are a dying breed.

And Trump is only going to garner support from the very specific group of people who understand the real enemy here. Some call it 'The Establishment'; some call it the 'Deep State'.

Regardless: poll numbers aren't even close to uncovering the truth. They are, for the most part only part of a narrative promulgated by those in the position of media power to spread it.

 

Hundreds of right wing flame bait threads have been posted on this forum without the slightest objection due to forum enforcement selectivity. There is nothing useful about all that hate and lies.
