    Actually better reception really wasn't an option. Let's just say there is an underground "hotel" nearby with its own underground "airport" of sorts that wreaks havoc on most over the airwaves activity in her area.

    A bit of goat trivia, the fainting goats won't jump fences. I didn't know that till today.

    I need me some fainting goats. Twinkle Toes runs right up the fence. then over. But they will go under fences too.

    Ha!! I just did a property inspection where the guy had sheep. He said the sheep always get out. I had to be careful with the double-gate.

    Nah if I were my goat, I would stay inside the fence and behave.

    The lady I was talking to said that is the reason she had fainting goats, and they won't jump the fence, now going under I don't know about that. She had 18 goats and said she never worries about them getting out. Some people that live a few miles from here are continually rounding up their goats.

    Speakin' of the - Real McCoy - I can't seem to locate and
    have ever seen on any TV channel the very popular TV
    - The Real McCoys - { '57-'63 } with 225 episodes
    Starring Walter Brennan and Richard Crenna.
    Brennan,arguably The Greatest character actor in film.
    To prove this watch the adorable late 50's { around the same time
    as his TV series } movie :
    - Good-bye,My Lady - { 1956 }
    Compare that performance with the movie - The Westerner - { 1940 }

    Or just eat their way through. SIL's neighbor's goats used to end up in SIL's yard, couldn't figure out how, until they found a rather large part of the fence missing.

    I am celebrating my Thursday. Got plenty of work to do, baking and dog sitting. A neighbor ask me to sit their dogs, they are the sweetest little dogs. ( Not as sweet as my two dogs but close.)

    I have found that some dogs are better behaved than some rugrats. I have a problem with undisciplined rugrats. The parents probably would not want me to sit them.

    Where have I been? Let's see I have been busy putting up pickles and peas. Cannot decide whether or not to put up tomatoes. Home canned tomatoes are so much better but so much trouble. Today was banana pudding and cookie baking day. I am cooked and baked out today. Tomorrow I am going to pick up some butter beans from a farm to freeze. The only thing I have left that I want to do is pickled okra, pepper relish and pepper jelly that will end my season. No more canning. Time for a vacation.

    Can't answer for Pottersville, when and IF I get some goats I will let you know how they are doing. I just know my goats will be like my dogs, well behaved and obedient.;-)

    They will lean real hard on the bottom of the fence till they push through. We put stiffeners at the bottom...it helps.

    do fainting goats taste better than regular goats when cooked?

    i would think the meat would not be tender since they tense up and pass out when scared.
