A plane carrying Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was buzzed by a NATO F-16 fighter jet as it flew over the Baltic Sea, but was seen off by a Russian Sukhoi-27 military jet, Russian news agencies reported on Wednesday.

The F-16 had tried to approach the aircraft carrying the defense minister even though it was flying over neutral waters, agencies said. Shoigu was reported to be en route to the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad for a meeting to discuss how well Russia's western flank was defended.

One of the Russian fighter jets escorting Shoigu's plane had inserted itself between the defense minister's plane and the NATO fighter and tilted its wings from side to side to show the weapons it was carrying, Russian agencies said.

After that, agencies said the F-16 left the area.

The Baltic Sea has become an area of rising tensions between Moscow and NATO. Earlier this month, Russia scrambled a fighter jet to intercept a nuclear-capable U.S. B-52 strategic bomber it said was flying over the Baltic near its border, in an incident that had echoes of the Cold War.

The Kremlin referred questions about the latest incident to the defense ministry, which did not immediately comment. It has said in the past that all Russian flights over the Baltic are conducted in strict accordance with international law.

The incident occurred a day after the Russian defense ministry said an RC-135 U.S. reconnaissance plane had swerved dangerously in the proximity of a Russian fighter jet over the Baltic. The ministry said at the same time that another RC-135 had been intercepted by a Russian jet in the same area.

    Here's how the incident occurred:

Thanks Trump... You should've put an end to this NATO stupidity way before the deep factions started to get to you with bunch of special blackmailing stuff and more... But you cowardly chose to save your own ass rather than using the opportunity to make a history and rejected being the hero that could've MAGAed the sh.t out of this world... Too bad orange face... No good...

Where the heck is litwin by the way? :)

I bet shoigu crapped when that Nato jet was over his head?

I met litwin over coffee, we had a good chat, and were amused at all the asinine postings on PF?:)

This is like deja vu. The same thing happened two years ago when Shoigu was in a plane heading towards Kaliningrad. I guess he must have an official plane, otherwise how would they know he's in it?

    Where is Litwin?

The Russian buzzes were mentioned in the MSM, the British buzzes when the Russians were flying over the English channel were not. The British think they own it. They even bragged about tracking a Russian sub in the channel. Hey dopes, it wasn't submerged. :wall:

Then there are the Americans, who complain about Russian planes near Alaska. Why not it belongs to Russia. Ask Sarah Palin.:roflol:

    *This thread is a hypocricy.

And as person who, thankfully, was not cheering to such teasing I point at fact that trying to buzz a plane of head of Ministry of Defence is not a wisest thing to do.

Not even surprised that a chauvinist spoke again. A hunchback can be corrected only by grave.

Oh a threat, maybe I should report.i don't believe I'm a hunchback, no back probs here, and I merely stated it works both ways. There's been several instances russian jets shadowing jets carrying high ranking diplomats from foreign countries, Nato.

What's this "crap thing" with almost every issue you supposedly are opposed to? People digest well and use toilets when taking dump, unless facin with Turks or crazy Russians. Then things can go sideways for some and you may see craps all over the floor. That's some sort of an unwritten rule.
Ask Italians, they don't say Mamma Li Turchi fa nothin dawg...

They would like to shoot it down. Shoigu would be their second best shot at Russia. Putin of course would be the first. When he visited Australia the Russian navy was right there.

Maybe it were NATO planes buzzing Russian fighters all along.

Very good and fair to say.

I personally think they are both stupid actions as well. But yeah, the Russian airforce has half a dozen of these and the posters here cheered it on.

But yeah, just a male appendage measuring contest that stirs up problems IMO.

You are implying that it is more wise to "buzz" another plane?

Come on, you are pushing the same propoganda/hypocrisy the OP is.

I think there have been 4 occassions now where Russian planes went much MUCH further than this. Jeannette who is supporting you was one of the people who posted up the link cheering on Russia, if not at least adding to the thread with that exact message.

Shouldn't be too surprised when Russia's tricks are thrown right back at them. While I am willing to discuss the fact that i agree it is bad from both sides, a thread posted like this is pretty silly whining considering the past I have now mentioned several times.

True to god honest question, is that how you feel? Is that what you see the truth as?

A lot of your posts have been incredibly emotionally over the top, this would explain a lot

First of all - do not tease me right now, I am still processing news about phosphorus bombs.

Second - no, I do not assume jerking other planes is a good fuсking idea.

Third - I do not give flying **** what our aviation does, keep your fuсking planes off ours.

Fourth - do not fuсking touch me today. I do not want to talk, I do not want notifications from forum, I am want a break from the discussions. Want to bicker with somebody about "evil guilty ruzkiez doing bad things" - go get some fuсking clueless сunt that is in mood for being a fuсking moron.
