Calif and Ill have pretty much gone their own way under democrat control. They are both going broke, are actually already broke.

Breaking the U.S. a part into red and blue areas would be fairly easy geographically. The northeast coming down through Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia would be one solid blue part. The west coast along with Nevada and Hawaii would be another solid blue part. So far the blue country would look much like East and West Pakistan did after India was given her independence from Britain and divided up according to religion.

The only question left is what to do with Illinois, Minnesota, Colorado and New Mexico? Do we leave them as island blue states in a sea of red or make a deal. An example would be to let Arizona become part of the blue in exchange for Colorado becoming part of the red. Give all residents 5 years to move if they want. That way the blue west coast would stretch all the way to Texas along the Mexican border and they could allow any and all Mexicans to enter and leave as they please.

That still leaves Minnesota and Illinois. As blue as Illinois is I suppose they would insist on being part of the blue map somehow. Minnesota along with Michigan and Wisconsin were split roughly 50-50 in the last election. Horse trading time?

Put Michigan into the red country, let Wisconsin become part of the blue so Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota are now one big island between the Northeast and West Coast.

Notice how the blue contains the industrial portion for the most part, the red the food and meat producers.

Try to be a little less literal here. Fact is that you have stayed with this wife of yours for a very very long time, and you watched the joint debt keep growing and growing and you keep using the same excuses not to work a little harder to pay it off. "I did not want all the stuff, just my rifle collection and the locks on the doors, and I won't use the rest so I won't do **** to pay the bill " just does not cut it.

Don't you think it be easier if you just picked a sweet ass country and relocated! I see StillBlue gave you a thumbs up, I'm sure he can find you a nice place in the DRC!

In addition to denying science, they are not good at math, either.
The sucker states don't just contain suckers, the states themselves suck money from the federal govt.

I was being less literal-I don't have a wife. The fact is if she's spending more than she can afford, without paying for it-she's the problem.

I think most will choose to stay where they consider home to be and where their jobs or businesses are and these are Amercians after all. But they will be much better off severing ties to the red states that do nothing but bind, thwart and hinder progress. The blue states want to give everyone a fair shake by strengthening the middle class and implementing SOCIAL policies that help bring people out of poverty. Healthcare and education would be paramount as would taking OUR tax dollars to fix OUR infrastructure. All around a great idea as the red stares have become as burdensome and cumbersome as a third leg.

I did not say she was spending more than she can afford. I said the two of you are spending more than you want to work for. You just like those rifles and locks, and she likes other stuff and you both keep buying and buying. You keep using up all your ammunition on the shooting range and then want to put more on the debit card, and then whine at her spending levels. neither of you two want to pick up more hours so nobody gets screwed.

It freaks red states out when they think of fending for themselves minus the blue state tax revenues and that is the point. Time for the personal responsibility the right always speaks of and it is time for them to own it and to go it alone. People are fed up carrying the obese dead weight of red state progress crushing ideology and ignorance. Blue states are already breaking away from the idiotic lack of environmental policies of the idiot in chief and his rubes by keeping the commitment to The Paris Climate Accord and that will be just the beginning of breaking the bonds that are no longer serving the majority.

Red states are all about self sufficiency.

Dems are the ones who define success by the number of people dependent on govt.

Especially when you had eight years of a retard that promised to create shovel ready jobs and never delivered and did everything in his power to shut down traditional energy production across the U.S.! I know you see it differently but there is a huge swath of the electorate that waited patiently for hope and change and all they got was a dope and change, hardly a debate on the mood of the NATION :)

To do that you must COMPLETELY refrain from interacting with others. . . . "Live and let live" defines the parameters of YOUR responsibility.

However, feel free to dictate the limits of government authority. . . . Our country is obliged not to offend you.

The only "retard" I saw was the one before him. I mean you all let Jeb Bush in the primary, it proves your party learned nothing from being the Bush party.

If he had won, that would have been embarrassing. However, he was so far out of the running that he might as well have stayed home.

I will give the GOP credit on this, they didn't let Bush near the nomination like the dems did with Clinton. They knew this was a change election and they didn't care.

Let the blue states go. When they start running out of grain and livestock they will PAY. Oh, will they pay!

When they start running out of fuel they will PAY. Oh, will they pay!

When they start running out of electricity they will PAY. Oh, will they pay!

See that you are still living in the land of delusion.

When one maps out all the centers of the most robust economic activitiy, one finds that they coincide with liberal dominance. In those areas with conservative dominance, poverty dominates.

That is to say, if we were to divide the country along blue/red lines, the blue side would be the world's largest economy, the blue side would be a third world economy.

Besides, without liberals, conservatives wouldn't have the internet in which to ignorantly complain about liberals.

You know, if you looked it up, rather than just follow the silliness that you do, you'd see that those states that most embraces liberal ideas far out pace those states that embraces conservative ideas. Not only are blue states more economically viable, they are also much more free.
