Oregon is the most racist state in the country endlessly coming up with new ways to keep poor people, primarily minorities, out by starving them out.

Oregon is the bottom half of states, and that does not consider the much higher cost of living

Here in Oregon, the state legislature has passing laws designed to lessen the impact of the garbage coming out of the Republican dominated federal government.

Teddy Roosevelt was a progressive. He is also dead. The most robust environmental laws are in Democratically dominated states. Hunters don't save forest. Many of them are horrible for the forests. In Boy Scouts they teach the boys to leave the woods better than they found them. Yet hunters often leave their garbage behind.

 

You must not have been paying attention when Rick Snyder became governor and Republicans took over the legislature. The Republicans passed laws, essentilly giving the governor power over cities, even in defiance of local elections. That is how Flint ended up with lead in their drinking water.

Republican dominated Michigan is the 8th largest state as to population, yet its economy is the twentieth. Like all Republican dominated states it is punching well below its weight.
