Voting is about understanding and comprehension.

You have to be able to distinguish between the qualifications of the candidates for office.

You need to be able to understand what your needs really are, what the needs of the nation or state or city are, and how the candidates represent those interests.

Those with a college degree are more able and likely to have the skills to understand these things.

We want educated people electing our Politicians, Sheriffs, Judges, District Attorneys.

A Bachelor's Degree is now the minimum standard for education in the USA.

That's why a Bachelor's Degree should be the minimum requirement for having the right to vote.

And voters would be required proof of graduation, along with proof of identity? Tell me more, I'm fascinated ...

I don't have a degree yet I am smarter and more well informed than 99% of the people with a degree.

I really wish you wouldn't post nonsense like this. Every citizen has a right to vote. It is up to all of us to make certain that every citizen has the education and maturity to make a reasonable choice, but that choice is eventually up to them, for good or bad.

Yes, all that's required to vote is birth certificate and Diploma.

How 'bout a two year degree in a trade school? Or a successful apprenticeship program? Colleges nowadays are centers for liberal bias training.

OK you get Tom Perez on board then. It'll go over well with Waters and Kamala too. :roflol: You lost their support at birth certificate. I'm guessing you're a Bernie Bro ... not going to happen.

There would have to be some exceptions -
No religious schools like Oral Roberts or Liberty University where there is only one book....
No bogus schools like Trump University....
Hannity and Limbaugh would scream since they dropped out of college.

    Trump -
    "I love the poorly educated".

    With good reason...

I disagree because sadly I recall interviewing college grads who did not display the most important attribute- the ability to think.

@Ronstar why not a test? If the questions are random enough no one could study the questions. They would have to have a general knowledge of various topics.

    Wow.

And, to think, if a B.A. was required to vote (in 2016) Trump might've had a hard time getting 1% of the vote.

Yeah, only liberal schools like Columbia University where they ban free speech and provide safe zones for wounded snowflakes.

Columbia U allowed Ahmadinejad to speak - did the right wing schools do so?

How about Bob Jones - will they ever allow blacks and whites to date?

They do not ban free speech.
You can only wish you could be accepted to attend Columbia.
