See you don't have a real response. Because how could you? You believe in a human created fantasy and you know you do lol.

Wrong. While stereotypical atheists will try to dumb down the idea of conscience by equating it to cultural conditioning or whatever, that's because conscience is become their enemy by virtue of its connection to God, not because they're devoid of it.

Personally, I trust or distrust a person based on that person. Religion has nothing to do with it.

So you prefer to trust in someone who believes in something that is a lie? Not smart.

I never thought of atheistic hatred of conscience in that manner. Maybe it is because I know of the two consciences within Man and Mankind; Bah and Kah.

WOW! Let me post it again, WOW! A Man never knows how close his thinking is to others, until interaction takes place. :sun: The light of shams illuminates the Universe, like knowledge enlightens the mind; two Suns illuminating at the same time.

ChrisL, I have questioned and questioned my beliefs and knowledge, like most REASONABLE people do. Questioning is one of the real and true ways of discovery or yourself, what motivates you, what caused you to pause. This being posted, I thank you for your apparently active mind and perception. This comment goes for most who have posted in regards to the topic of :"Do you Trust Religious or Non-Religious people more?" I thank you all, even the resident self-proclaimed Atheist.

Old Trapper (I like the moniker), what you posted only shows the hypocrisy of people, some may think that I am included, though I know that I am not. It is rare to have people hold true to what they claim, this includes not forcing their beliefs on others, in a world of conflict, turmoil, aggression, and feeding frenzies. Maybe, people are really scared of what is coming upon the earth (ways of existing) and decide that they are going to "Stand THEIR Ground" in the face of the Flood and onslaught. I used to become angry with people for pushing their agendas, until I sat back and gave it some thought. I could be wrong about this, but this is how I currently think in reference to the subject what people perceive as "INTOLERANCE". Fear is the mind killer. Fear will also cause people to commit acts that they would have never imagined until that moment of fear.

"or whatever". And furthermore, blah, blah, bark, bark, blah, blah, blah..!

So the wealthy did not create religions simply to control the unruly masses? It's not all just smoke and mirrors? Bread and circuses?.. to maintain and promote existing power and status structures based upon greed, selfishness, and self-aggrandizement? One has to have faith, you say? Yeah, no doubt that excuse was old long BC. But, ya know, idiots will abound and haters gonna hate.

Here is something that I thought may interest the many:

This is for everyone, and A random man in particular being that yesterday, he wanted to use a video of Joe Rogan to prove his point about religion. Well, I will utilize the same method to "prove" that virtue, morality, and conscious living go hand in hand with Freedom and Liberty. Without moral temperance, moral restraint, moral character, and moral guidance, people soon lose freedom to tyrants and despots who come in to "save the day". Former New York City mayor, Rudolph Giuliani was one such character. The widespread lack of moral character from certain quarters of the five boroughs, enabled him to become mayor. I support Donald J. trump because although he is flawed, he did not ride in as a "White Knight".

Not sure what you would call what he ran as since he "promised" to fix all of the ills of the country, bring jobs back (except those he has created out of country), build a wall to keep out those nasty immigrants, fix the health care system so all can afford, and have, health coverage, and the list goes on. Of course, he has done none of those, blamed everyone else for the failures of his "promises", and in general just lied about everything else.

He is far worse then just "flawed".

I definitely wouldn't trust someone like you who makes stuff up with no proof.

At one point a few years ago I made a decision to be an atheist. I thought they were the most normal. I just didn't want to be Christian or anything for that matter & I also had a couple bad experiences with other beliefs. Even then I never distrusted people because of their beliefs. Overall character, repeated bad behavior...those things determine trustworthiness for me.
I'm certainly not mocking people who are searching, but its not on here. lol

And now the right has done the same with Trump even as they did with Bush43. In fact, there is more adoration of Trump then one ever seen with Obama. You true believers can find no fault in the guy regardless of the evidence, and bow at his every word.

If you're gonna serve up a nothingburger, least you can do is bring ketchup on the side.

I have a better question: what the hell does the answer have to do with anything I said?

You're not the least bit interested in what I say, obviously.

You speak more truly than you know. ;-)

It's a false choice as if honesty is dependent of whether one does or does not believe in supernatural beings. Would you trust someone who believes in Superman more that someone who does not simply because of that?

Why would someone believe in Superman? It speaks to the dishonesty of those who create fictional characters for consumption by the masses. In the case of Superman it's presented as fiction.
