I know for a while, in the late 90's through Today as far as I know, most Temples aren't taking new converts. LOL, I believe Judaism is the only religion that isn't taking new converts.

It's VERY complicated, PT, and depends on how/where/by whom the conversion was performed. The right of return is far from automatic under most circumstances.

I'll see if I can find the links. I used to be pretty active in debating/discussing Zionism/ists like 10 or so years ago, & the topic of conversion came up. It's rough to convert, & I believe something to do with terrorists/ism motivated a moratorium on conversion. Might be done now, not sure.

I LOL'd @ the concept of a religion stopping conversion.

 

Well, you can still convert - you can find a less orthodox temple to become a part of - but it will NOT generally grant that precious right of return.

 

I have no need to convert as I am Jewish but living in Israel has never been a consideration for me. I don't particularly like the Sephardic Jews as I find them quite arrogant...not all, but many that I have met. I love the food but that is for another thread category.
