The economy was doing well under President Obama, ahd HE brought it back from disaster, unlike Trump who inherited a 4.6 unemployment rate!

Trump has been a real arrogant ass with ALL the foreign leaders. . . Except for his lord and master, Putin!

The "distinguished jurist" should have been selected by President Obama, and was only selected for his strong biais toward extreme right and evangelical agenda.

The military is no more for Trump's war mongering than the rest of the population, and only the small dangerous section of the police was not outraged with Trump's call for authorised violence within the police force

    You are delusional

Trump is crass, low class, and tacky. He always has been. His apartment, and many of his hotels look like bordellos.

I once read that Donald Trump is a poor man's idea of what a wealthy man looks like, and a weak man's idea of what a strong man is.

You made that point quite well

That is not an exaggeration but your "Thousand Times" garbage is.
I do not hate Trump, I am however quite disgusted by what he stands for.

You got it partly right in that you pointed out one of the dangerous aspects of democracy. However, I find the first statement to be flawed. It is something that you have created in your mind and have assigned truth to it by a rhetorical question. He briefly caught my attention because he was the only one of the major presidential candidates to openly state that the Iraq war was a mistake. He did it in front of a crowd that was quite hostile to that idea in the Republican presidential debates. He was booed, but did not back down. It was a brief, momentary display of courage.

What has happened now is that his back is against the wall because people see him for what he actually is, a shallow opportunist. He doesn't have anything but his base now, much of whom embrace the racist ideas that are at the core of that rally. Instead of exhibiting leadership, he was chosen the cowardly, typical politician path of catering to that racist base by not openly confronting the racist ideology of white supremacy. That's his choice in this situation because that is what he is, a coward.

You are wasting your efforts trying to convince leftists that they have sowed the seeds of backlash and now it's harvest time. No matter what Trump said or didn't say, it's going to be his fault in their eyes.

I effectively rebutted the OP. Obviously Trump has shortcomings (as do you and I). He is not the "worst President ever" or whatever was the overwrought accusation above.

I'm a "people", and I don't see it that way. Trump is reaping no personal gain from the presidency.

He has sacrificed much of himself and his family. Quick, who here, with his wealth, would not spend all day golfing and fishing instead of trying to govern a country gone mad with hatred and division?

    You? I don't think so.

I don't think your rebuttal was effective. He is the worst ever because its 2017 and he doesn't have the sense enough to see that he needs to come out and openly rebuke white racism. Now rebut that.

Sure it was. He said Trump was the worst. I reeled off three examples of indisputably worse presidents. What do you want, egg in your beer?

    I agree.

No, I do not define success by money. Only a moron would.

No, it really isn't, unless you're just determined to cut Trump no slack ever about anything.

And there are legal ignoramuses like Al Franken who feign outrage at tough decisions compelled by the law.

No, he is a shallow opportunist. The presidency carries quite a bit a power with it. Its power that Trump could not have with his money. Power is what he getting out of it. Its amazing you can't see that.

I you a very good example of how he is shallow. I'm not all that bright, but I didn't need Xi Jinping to point out to me the problems that China has with North Korea. That's something that Trump should already know. He didn't know because he doesn't read and think enough. WHY? Because he is a shallow opportunist.

Obviously success takes many forms. But if you are in business, making money is the yardstick. That's the way the world works.

First of all you need to use a second person pronoun because I am the one that said it. Next of all you left out the part about it being 2017 and Trump being too stupid to understand that he needs to come out and openly AND SPECIFICALLY rebuke white supremacy. Because of that, he is the worse ever. He is the dumbest ever.

"I told you a thousand times not to exaggerate" is a joke.

    Don't take yourself so seriously.

If you can see that, then you should not say that he is reaping no personal gain from the presidency. Get your story straight before you post.

Okay, but I wouldn't be proud of your silly claim that he's the worst ever. Time will tell. You don't want to offer him that opportunity (time). I do. We're only in the first year.

We don't need any more time to see that he is the dumbest and worse ever. What's your excuse for why he needs Xi Jinping to educate him on the basic geopolitical situation on the Korean pennisula? What's your excuse for crass tweets like "bleeding badly from a facelift?" What's your excuse for why he is too dumb to see that sometimes the President of the United States has to put political considerations aside and exhibit leadership by condemning the ideology of white supremacy?

By these things and MUCH MORE, Trump is indeed degrading the office of President of the United States. He is the worst ever. Time will not change that.

I just think you're being too judgmental and you're overreacting. And your language betrays a lack of cool reflection. There is zero evidence for his "dumb"-ness. No one who has worked with him and knows him thinks he is anything other than very bright. Obviously his haters do think he's "dumb," and worse. They're crazy with hate. Obviously Trump is unschooled in certain areas. But that's just inexperience.

The claim that he is forgiving of white supremacy is just ridiculous. He's got minorities in his cabinet! His daughter and son in law are Jews. They're white, but white supremacists don't see Jews as white.

I think his problem" in this area is that he occasionally conflates things that are separated by time and should be viewed separately, and so I think that when he is called on to condemn white supremacy in a particular case, images of lunatic anti-fa, and BLM activists and professional race baiters jump into his mind. He doesn't want Al Sharpton taking any victory laps is all.

You have to do a cost-benefit analysis. He is on balance gaining nothing on a personal level. I'll concede that he lives rent free in the White House for now, and he gets to fly on Air Force One, just to help bolster your own argument. Remember, however, that he could be watching the game in his own, much more luxurious and comfortable place, and he could fly on Trump One if he weren't the president and having to endure ridiculous criticism from people who sit on the sidelines and risk zero.

So I was and continue to be right.

If that's the case, Trump isn't much of a success.

His net worth, according to his latest financial filing, is about $1.8 billion. This is about the same as it was 15 years ago, when his father died and left him his rental properties.

He has a long history of broken promises, bad deals, lawsuits and unpaid bills.

In 2008 he was forced to sell the crown jewel of his father's holdings, the Hudson River Yards.

Since Trump loudly claimed that he was worth $10 billion when he rode the esculator two years ago, he has either lost a lot of money, or he was never worth that much to begin with. Trumpsters ignore the obvious lies, as usual.

Given his behavior, I doubt that he's even worth $1.8 billion. And between his having to rely on Russian gangsters for finance (because Wall Street won't do business with him) and the fact that he has been steadily cashing assets, I'm fairly certain that Ivanka will have to get by on Jared's money in the long run,

    What cost and what sacrifice?

Trump has peddled himself from day one, and once we're rid of him, he will declare victory and boast about how he made money out of being President.
