And the taxes and ignoring from congress continue to go on with no effort to change the situation, just provide more tax payer monies to support it.
Go read my previous post: If you do that - as I have requested repeatedly - and show some interest in objective discussion, then this might continue.
Again, everything out of context - and some just flat out wrong. There were other disciples (lower case "d") who followed Jesus and witnessed his entire ministry (such as Matthias), far more than just 12. The reason the "12 Disciples" are distinguished from all the other disciples is because they were personally chosen and appointed by Jesus, they were His inner circle. People cannot appoint someone to one of those 12 positions. Jesus selected Paul to complete the 12. The remaining 11 disciples selected Matthias, but that was wrong of them. And you continue to mischaracterize Paul - obviously you have not read the New Testament. Paul was accepted by all the Apostles, Pauls claim that he was selected and tutored by Jesus was accepted as well.
There was a clear difference between Apostles and disciples. The fairy tale says that Yeshua selected the original twelve. Then the eleven elected Mathias. Paul claim that Yahweh, not Yeshua, appointed him to be an Apostle. But there are only twelve slots for Apostles. That means that two of the 14 will be dumped into the trash can. Judas was the only Apostle who did what Yahweh wanted, which was to get Yeshua killed so that Yeshua could become a zombie. So chances are he will make the team. Since Paul disagreed with Yeshua about 95% of everything Paul might end up in the lake of fire for being a false prophet. BTW, the other Apostles were dumber than rocks and didn't know Yeshua from a fish.
Thanks for conclusively proving you have zero knowledge of the Bible. If you are going to argue a subject, you should have a working knowledge of the subject.
14. Is God the God of the living or is God of the dead? Yeshua said that Yahweh = the God of the Hebrews and the God of the armies = was the God of the living and not the God of the dead. In Matthew 22:29-33 (MSG) = "Jesus answered, “You’re off base on two counts: You don’t know your Bibles, and you don’t know how God works. At the resurrection we’re beyond marriage. As with the angels, all our ecstasies and intimacies then will be with God. And regarding your speculation on whether the dead are raised or not, don’t you read your Bibles? The grammar is clear: God says, ‘I am—not was—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.’ The living God defines himself not as the God of dead men, but of the living.” Hearing this exchange the crowd was much impressed." Naturally Paul said that Yeshua is the God of the dead. In Romans 14:9 (NLT) = "Christ died and rose again for this very purpose—to be Lord both of the living and of the dead." In Paul's comment it's like saying that the President can call forth all of the dead soldiers in the time of war. There were some ancient stories about such things. http://mythworld.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon's_teeth_(mythology)
Have you never read Romans 13 ? So we should submit to, and not rebel against, genocidal dictators like Pol Pot because God put him there. The Revolutionaries were wrong to rebel against the British ... and so on. Only the Devil could come up with such an evil doctrine. In addition, Paul came up with the evil "Sola Fide" doctrine (salvation by faith alone). People no longer were encouraged to do good works and they could do as much evil as they wanted and not fear God's punishment. This is an anathema to the teachings of Jesus and another evil doctrine of which Satan would be proud.
Romans 13 has been discussed to death - and I believe you and I already went over it in another part of the forum. Romans 13 does not mean Christians should obey any and every ruler. Obviously, Christians are to obey God over man. Any decree by a earthly ruler that contradicts God is not to be obeyed - that is what most of the Bible is about. Does it make any sense at all for Paul to preach "obey God and God's rules" and then to claim every earthly ruler is above God? If you have read the Bible and know its message, then common sense alone should tell you that you have misunderstood Romans 13. More total BS. One day you should actually read the Bible. Paul wrote in almost every letter and epistle in the New Testament, that salvation is by faith through grace, and manifests as good works. All of the Apostles agree with that belief and codified it in the Council of Jerusalem (in Acts), and James expanded on it in his epistle. In fact, the way to determine a persons state of salvation is observing their works. A saved person will obey God, God commands that good works be performed, if a person is saved it will be evident in their life (good works). Your post also shows you have no contact with Christians (and obviously have not read the Bible), which means your opinion of Christianity is not based on first hand study or observation but ignorance and propaganda.
Peter the founder of roman Catholic church didn't agree with sola fide. Lying in the name of Christianity iz a no no.
Of course it means that Christians should obey every ruler. Paul even gives the justification for why.... the ruler has been put there by God so that ruler is carrying out God's will. It is impossible to know whether or not an earthly ruler "contradicts God" ? You do not know what God is thinking in the moment. God's will in the OT is different than God's will in the NT... perhaps it has changed yet again. You do not know otherwise. Paul's decree comes from evil and that is that. Romans 13 is responsible for a tremendous amount of evil that was conducted throughout history. It is you that needs to read the Bible rather than cling to the man made dogma that you love so much. I agree that Paul speaks about works. This does not change the fact that he also gives a salvation formulation that contradicts "works". This confusion formed the basis of much sin due to the de-emphasis of works.
Ooops! If a book doesn't even know when it's magic zombie was crucified on the cross (the cross is they main SYMBOL of the entire religion, even!) then of course that book can't be taken seriously. Jesus = fail.
Oh come on! It was authored by a person who didn't even know right from wrong (was a pedophile, murderer, married a 6 year-old child, masturbated on a child's thighs when she was 6 years old, advocated torture in Q5:33, thought that slavery was ok), so of course it's not from "god".
Yes, just like the story of a magic 2000 year-old invisible zombie who lives up in the sky in a magic invisible kingdom is obviously allegorical in nature as well (not real, but an interesting take on rebirth.)
Because they are too afraid of "hell" to ever admit that the story of a magic Jesus is not actually real. Their fear trumps their logic, reason, and common sense. Sad, really.
Unless, unless the god is question is just a plain RETARD. Maybe the reason for the untold numbers of contradictions is that the particular god in question is just plain retarded. In which case picking a DIFFERENT god out of the thousands on offer would be a great idea.
Yes, it's a fairy tale, as only fairy tales have dragons in them: Lord of the Rings, The Bible, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, etc.
JESUS didn't think so, as that bigot defined marriage as between a man and a woman. He didn't care about people, not in 2000 years and counting(!), to bother to utter three simple words "gay is ok". Any sane and ethical person where the main book about him said to kill gays and that gays can't get into heaven (the Bible says those) would of course have, in 2000 years(!), come out (bad choice of words, sorry) and said that the Bible got it wrong.....dead wrong. Jesus is a failure as a self-claimed moral teacher who claims to be better than you are.....he's not better than you are.
As it says in Exodus 22:28 (TLB) = “You shall not blaspheme God, nor curse government officials—your judges and your rulers." That idea is repeated throughout the Bible. Obey; obey; obey.
once again, nonresponsive. I have long ago agreed with your two points. Charity can not possibly be the answer unless you can find a solution for the problems I stated.
You proved nothing. You stated your opinion with nothing to back it up. You did not show any point in which Paul contradicts Jesus, all you show is your misunderstanding. To show contradiction, you have to present a Biblical argument specifically where Jesus says one thing and Paul contradicts Jesus.
Peter absolutely agree with Paul, as stated in 1 Peter, and also as shown in Peters agreement with Paul at the Council of Jerusalem. Read the Bible.
You repeat the same thing constantly, yet you don't bother to read the Bible. Googling and Wikipedia don't cut it. Until you can make an argument based on the contents of the Bible, you are struck in your personal bubble of bias and there is nothing anybody can do about it. When you have an open mind and are educated on the contents of the Bible (you don't have to believe the contnts, but you have to know what they are), come back.
