I prefer not to generalize against any group unless I have reason and facts to back up the generalization. Just curious not that you had to but are you a veteran.
I knew that question was coming because liberals always ask and I never discuss my personal history with them Sorry for those people on this thread that do post about themselves but I don't
You are welcome. It was an honor to have had the opportunity to have served my adopted country. That is why I am very tough on someone like Trump , Clinto, or Dick Cheeny who never served and did all they could to get out of serving. I just cannot understand why someone such as thise three who had the luck of being born here were not wiling to serve their country.
Yes, but it's even worse now. Many an undecided/independent was pushed to conservatism by leftist extremism then, and I imagine - as Chomsky has said - that the AltLefTaliban is birthing many a conservative today with each fire, riot and memorial desecration they perpetrate. They are a cancer on the left, but a "gift" (Chomsky) to the right.
Wait a minute.... the liberal progressive storm troopers are getting paid. Soros pays them. How else would there be incentive for a bunch of otherwise unconcerned snowflakes?
Do occupy Wall Street represent all of Liberaldom? I hardly think so no more than the Nazis, KKK, or the White Nationalists represent all of the Conservative political spectrum!
Until Clinton, avoiding military service pretty much blocked advancement to high office. But, The American Electorate chose Bill Clinton, who avoided service and even organized anti war rallies on foreign soil, over Papa Bush who served in the Pacific during WWII as a fighter pilot. During their attack, the Avengers encountered intense anti-aircraft fire; Bush's aircraft was hit by flak and his engine caught on fire. Despite his plane being on fire, Bush completed his attack and released bombs over his target, scoring several damaging hits.[4] With his engine ablaze, Bush flew several miles from the island, where he and one other crew member on the TBM Avenger bailed out of the aircraft;[7] the other man's parachute did not open.[4] Bush waited for four hours in an inflated raft, while several fighters circled protectively overhead until he was rescued by the lifeguard submarine USS Finback.[4] Being rescued by the submarine USS Finback For the next month he remained on Finback, and participated in the rescue of other pilots. Several of those shot down during the attack were executed, their livers eaten by their captors.[8] Through 1944, he flew 58 combat missions[7] for which he received the Distinguished Flying Cross, three Air Medals, and the Presidential Unit Citation awarded to San Jacinto.[4] George Bush in his Grumman TBM Avenger on the carrier USS San Jacinto in 1944
I often disagree with you, and I'm sure you often disagree with me. But I make a deliberate choice not to challenge you. I'm a peacetime vet. My son is a Purple Heart combat vet. Nuff said, I guess.
Interesting story from one of the Japanese on the island Bush was shot down over said he watched while Bush was picked up by a submarine and commented how his country would never do that. The Japanese commander of the island had some of the captured American pilots cut up for consumption. None of the captured survived. Great book on this called Fly Boys.
I am well aware of Bush Senior's military service as Inam of Monika's boyfriends lack of military service. Of course there are done here who may not be aware of PappyvBush's service. The diference between what you and I post is that I will not only criticize Monika's Boyfriend a Democrat but I will also criticize Cheeny for his using all sorts of means to avoid military service yet be a chicken hawk. I hate chickenhawks as much as I hate draft dodgers and dirt bags who refuse to serve their country. So if one criticizes one type of dirt bag one needs to do the same fir the other type.
I think that you and I have talked about you son's service but I could be mistaking you for someone else. Hope he was not wounded too badly and if he was that he was made a full recovery. I volunteer at my local VA so I see the results of some of those wounded and as much as it hurts to see them I am glad to have the time and health to give a little back to my fellow vets. If you want to challenge me please do I can take it and give it back I hope respectfully.
And yours also. I hope you got through the war in one piece. I say that because I volunteer at my local VA and it is satisfying to be able to help but sad when I see guys who are young enough to be my sons with some serious injuries. They sometimes open up and I get to talk with them and sometimes some of them have similar injuries I had. I assure them that you can recover and be functional Ivstill am at grandfather age. Good luck!
I avoided wathing thus time - getting sick of rallies when he shoukd be working on his actions to get our nation together not be throwing raw meat to the base at thus point in time. Even BO did not have this many rallies this often.
