Don't forget all of the damage Obama did with the illegal problem etc. It's only fair to blame both sides who have made mistakes.

It's way to early to predict a next president and Trump could be re-elected.

The Democrats will pick Woody Allen in 2020 to run for president.

In true liberal late night fashion, the reasons he is perfect for the nomination are:

5.He's old so that fits the demo profile.
    4. He's from New York--more of that fitting-the-mold stuff.
    3. He looks like a young(er) version of Bernie Sanders. (His hair isn't grey, but only his hair dresser knows for sure.)
    2. He rants like Bernie Sanders
    And
    1. he plays a wood instrument like Bill did.

The Democrats should start rigging the delegate count as we speak.

Now you know how conservatives felt for 8 years under obama.

The real question is now that progs are walking a mile in the other guys shoes, are they going to mature and realize they are as much or more to blame for this situation, and then change their ways. Or are they going to push the nation over the edge. My bet is they aren't smart enough to wise up.

Americans who twice gave Obama popular victories and assigned him 59% approval when he completed two terms are obviously not thrilled by his successor whose disapproval has been and remains close to level of Obama's approval.

If the Twit of Tweet survives until 2020 - which I hope he somehow does - the presidential contest will be between two ant-trumpery nominees. Recovering from trumpery will be the patriotic challenge that unites folks.

A residue of hardcore Trumpies will persist in their bleating, of course.

I think they said this during Obama's term as well. I wonder if every four years that we have said that since the beginning of the country?

Yes. Just as Sanders could have won and Hillary was a loss.

But, if they want to win, they should go with Al Franken
who would be like a new Bernie Sanders. Main St. not Wall St.
Sadly Al Franken is too male, too straight and too white for the
    bigoted Democratic Party.

Joe Kennedy, the grandson of Robert Kennedy? Lord am I that old?
I supported Eugene McCarthy (not Joe) and reviled RFK as a traitor to the cause of getting out of Vietnam. RFK would not step up to the plate against LBJ's war policies saying, "I don't want to split the Democratic Party". So Clean Gene stepped forward and embarrassed LBJ in the New Hampshire primary. LBJ quit. RFK was willing to split the Peace vote. After he was killed, his people failed to get behind the remaining Peace Candidate and we got the Hubert. NIXON won and 6 more years of Vietnam.

I'm not sure the Kennedy name really carries weight anymore just as Jeb found out about Bush in the last Presidential election.

We don't need no Atlantic shoreline candidate.
At least Al Franken is half way to the Pacific.

Resurrecting dead Kennedy's is not the answer. Joe Kennedy died in 1969.

Trump may lose in 2020 if the stock market crashes, or unemployment reaches new highs.

    For now:

    1.The economy is strong.
2.The stock market is at records highs.
    3. Unemployment is a records lows.
    4. Energy production is going up which could make us energy independent in a few years.
    5. The Obama legacy has been tossed.
    6. Job-killing treaties like NAFTA, TPP and the Paris Accord have been nullified.
    7. 50 Arabs leaders gathered to hear him.
    8. NATO also listened.
    9. Kim backed down,
    10.Assad took a hit.
    11. ISIS is crumbling.
12.The Supreme Court will no longer legislate from the bench
13.Sanctuary Cities are starting to cave in
    14. The DOJ is fighting gangs
    15. Illegal immigration is down 70 percent
    16. Americans will have a better chance at decent wages for their families.

That is Trumpism you can take to the bank and the polls in 2020

Most of your talking points are true under President Obama and because of President Obama.

Trump getting more troops to fight a emergent ISIA
    Sanctuary Cities not needed
President Obama Deporter in Chief deported 2.5 million illegals Doubt if Trump could match that

    Senator Al Franken.
    He's Good Enough
    He's Smart Enough
    And Gosh Darn it
    People Like Him.

For them that don't get it.

Al Franken would be a fresh name.
    Not a recycled candidate.
He has Progressive credentials ala Sanders
as well as Hands Across The Aisle accomplishments.

It wont be a problem. Its all in the mind, I'm sure there is a proggie out there that can be convinced he/she is a non-white disabled transgender man lesbian transvestite who can't wait to complete the sex change procedure so "she" can have an abortion.

Honestly, given the way we've seen the White House age people, I don't think Trump should run again. He's too old and is already starting to scare top advisers with his inconsistent moods and actions.

Reagan probably shouldn't have been President in his last year in office. And he was in better physical shape than Trump when he took office.

Why would fellow republicans stab a man so known for his sense of party loyalty and with such a history of fair play in the 2016 primaries? This man has earned respect by virtue of the honorable way with which he has handled political opposition within the GOP. Look at the way he always took the high road while his opponents were throwing mud.

She really doesn't bring anything to the table, even as a VP Candidate.

    And
She may not be Black enough being a quarter or so Samoan.
Is America ready for a practicing Hindu?

She is articulate, likeable, photogenic, a Major in the Hawaii National Guard, and an Iraq War veteran. And, she thinks for herself, which is probably why the Dems would not want her.

The policy agenda can be traditional Democratic a la Obama, but the package must be fresh and new.

I like Franken, he's different enough despite being a senator, or a Hispanic from one of the western states, or florida. Southern woman would be good. Someone who does NOT have a national presence so voters have something to intrigue them, someone they do not already know well. Please let's NOT pick someone as our standard-bearer who is a re-tread. That means no to Edwards, or Sanders or O'Malley, or Gore. Let's remember, there are always reasons that last time's candidate did not win. it usually relates to blemishes and flaws. Let's not go with Biden either. He actually falls in the same category as he was one of the losers from 2008. Whoever it is, has to have a new story to tell us. .

    Ok

    Your sarcasm is noted

Politics is a contact sport and in the primaries republicans and democrats are noted for playing hardball.

Trump won because he appealed to more voters than jeb bush or sniffling John Kasic and because he beat them at their own game of tearing down the other guy

If you are telling me that republicans care more about their tender ego's than governing the country then I think you are correct

RINO's have a pretty good thing going in washington 62 million trump voters be damned
