Cronyism happens in socialist systems as well. That's why the Castro, Chavez, and Kim Jong families have tons of money while their populations starve. Non-Jews comprise a small minority of those in power positions within Hollywood, even though non Jews are 98% of the population.

I am of Brahim-Indian heritage. We are 5% of India's population, but we pretty run India's business, media, and everything the culture sees/produces. Brahmins are the Jews of India, basically. Now, I find what my Brahmins are doing to be very wrong because they are preventing the most qualified from getting to the top. They are hiring their own and denying the 95% the right to their own cultural destiny. When a Brahmin owns India's entire banking system, is the overwhelming representative in government, runs every major newspaper and media conglomerate, you can't deny there will be major bias and cultural influence in that country. You're looking at a trend out of context. The culture industry has embraced progressive trappings lately because that's a way for them to recoup something historically anti-establishment and absorb it into their profit-making apparatus. Whether or not they sincerely hold these beliefs is irrelevant, because in the end they don't live up to them. They will gladly gloss over the lives and experiences of minority groups so that they don't alienate more money, they just keep a tepid left-centrism that manages to be as inoffensive as possible so that everyone will want to give them money. The history of modern images is the history of a whole bunch of asshats trying to look more intense than they are.
