Really, how is it out of context when Trump denied making the statement. Said he had proof and then his proof, which was Kelly, confirmed that he listened into the call and that Trump did made the statement.

And the behavior you find so agravating is Trump not even knowing the soldiers name or his incredibly unfeeling well yeah he got killed but after all that was what he signed up for so you know he got what he signed up for so no big deal that your " guy" is dead.

Now I admit I changed the words a bit to actually convey the hidden meanings behind the message Trump sent to the grieving widow. I should also mention that it probably also served as Trump's way of absolving himself as commander in chief for the botched operation because getting killed was just what her guy signed up for when he enlisted so no big deal.

NO, she did *NOT* have the right to say anything. When she realized what the call was she should have plugged her ears. That was a *PRIVATE* conversation!

Whether she eavesdropped from another phone or just by listening in on the call by being in close proximity doesn't matter! It was a PRIVATE CALL. As an elected official sworn to uphold the Constitution she should know that divulging the contents of a PRIVATE CALL violates at least the spirit of the Constitution if not the letter of the Constitution. It was no different than if she were listening to a wiretap of the call!

This Congresswoman is a political opportunist of the worst kind.

 

Trump did *NOT* make the statement as presented. The phrase "he knew what he signed up for" was taken out of context for political purposes to try and show Trump as heartless and unempathetic. Trump *also* said he was a hero that died for all of America. The *context* of Trumps statement was that he knew he could die and went ahead anyway - a recognition of bravery.

But that is *NOT* how the Congresswoman, the left, and the MSM is trying to portray it. As usual they are creating False News to attack Trump.

This is what the Congresswoman, the left, and the MSM *want* you to believe. Trump also said the man died a hero - meaning the soldier knew what could happen and went ahead anyway - it's called BRAVERY by most Americans, including Trump.

 

The conversation between Trump and the Gold Star widow was a PRIVATE conversation. The Congresswoman simply did not have the right to divulge *anything* about the conversation for crass political purposes. Kelly pointed out very well the lengths to which this Congresswoman will go for crass political gain, sullying the commemoration of two dead law enforcement officers or sullying the condolence call to a Gold Star widow by the President.

 

I'd say it's amazing that the Trump fans refuse to admit that Trump flat out lied when he looked in that camera and said Wilson lied about what he said. I'd also say it's amazing that they refuse to acknowledge that he lied in his Tweet where he said she was a liar. But sadly, it isn't amazing. It's simply routine. Trump lies, and his foot soldiers say "thank you sir, please tell me more lies!".

 

Her behavior was appalling. She shouldn't have run to NBC and instead gone to her leaders in the House and discussed with them.

Now, let's talk about the appalling behavior of the President of the United States. He had a private conversation with General Kelly about a very sensitive issue - the death of Kelly's son. He went to Fox News radio and used the details of that private conversation to take political swipes at Barack Obama. Forgive me if I missed all of your posts expressing outrage over that action. I'm sure I'll read them all here, right?

So its OK to you that Kelly was listening in on that PRIVATE conversation, and divulged it for his crass political purpose, but somehow its not OK that Wilson heard it with other gold star family members in the car riding to the airport to receive the dead soldiers casket.

And somehow its OK that donald lied repeatedly about it.
