    The insurgency in Egypt grows deadlier with each incident. 54 Egyptian military were killed in this incident.

    It's time for Donald Trump to take a break from his golf and concentrate on GWOT and get some holes in insurgents instead of holes in one.

    The situation in Egypt is very unstable and is affected by the situation in neighboring Syria which is still dangerous.

    Egypt's dictator Al Sissi is Trump's kind of guy. A despot.

    Is this a new group? I wonder if they come out of Libya since this happened in the Western deserts of Egypt.

    Too dangerous for the Egyptian military. They don't exactly have a good record in comabt.

    Don't be absurd. Mubarak had been in place for over 40 years and the corruption had grown exponentially. Once the Arab spring erupted in Tunisia, it was just a matter of time.

    No please - things are bad enough there already - don't make 'em even worse! Then again, with The Donald in the hot seat now, maybe the military will get it right at last. I refer to the higher echelons of the military, not the 'lions' on the front lines. Actually just get the hell out of the region, and let the locals do their bit towards resolving the world's overpopulation problem. They've been doing a fine job of it upto now, so don't stop them killing each other!
