Why visit an LGBT forum then ? Like going to hang out in a Gay Bar and need to tell everyone you are Heterosexual or this forum and need to tell everyone of your Heterosexuality. . "I don't feel the need to tell the world I'm heterosexual?" You did that anyway. lol
I've been told many times that I'm an interesting individual, and it's because I habitually have a need to discover facts on many subjects, and they include homosexuality. I daresay you'd rather not dwell too much upon the negativity on the subject in my posts, but hey, that's 'freedom of expression' for you? Heterosexuals post on gay threads, and it isn't always in celebration of gaydom, so get used to it?
Sure, you are about as interesting as watching paint dry or grass grow, that is also very interesting. About as interesting as the normal poop your average 10 year old child babbles or your average over 70 year old man, pure twaddle and about as interesting as mold & mildew.
I don't mean not taught at all, I mean not taught in any way other than comparatively. Public schools should not be teaching any specific ideology, political or religious. These days, most ESPECIALLY political. Equal weight and merit should be given to conservative politics in the classroom, as is currently given to liberal politics. But of course, it isn't. Liberal politics are still taught as truth, in the same way that Christianity used to be.
Good back peddling there. I was almost fooled except for the following, It is a very old mangled metaphor, similar to; "No problemo" incorrect Spanish, should be; no hay ningun problema, Yet, the incorrect ways still persist.
Every forum will have individuals best ignored which is extremely easy to do. They can also be fun play toys for entertainment when bored.
Yes, it's a combination of rocket science and brain surgery. It's an old and hackneyed play on the two .. intended to indicate the absurdity of both, and the simplicity of the thing referred to in comparison. You don't get out much, do you?
Because the Gay & Lesbian Rights forum isn't one of the social subforums - it's one of the political subforums. And... Because there are way more of those people here than there are of us. If you want somewhere safe and affirming, this just isn't that place. But yes, it does get extremely tiring, which is why I left. (No, I'm not back. Just curious whether things are any different. They aren't. Same people, same old hate. Just as tired and boring as it ever was.)
I agree. I disagree with the idea that all religion should be scrubbed. I think we should avoid such orthodoxy with regard to politics outside of a historical context. Yes I agree but I don't think teaching conservative politics as well is of any use. We should teach children how to think critically and to understand history.
Agreed that eliminating teaching any religious history in public schools is a bad idea. How can we teach the history of Europe without the influence of the Holy Roman Empire and, later, Spain? Just say "first there were the Romans, then WWI happened"? Agreed 100% about teaching kids how to think over what to think. Knowing how to think is in very short supply these days.
I can agree with that. My hope is that the heavy liberal bias in public education is dealt with ASAP, either way.
I don't think religion should be scrubbed - I believe it should be taught comparatively. A broad overview of the various primary religions, and their respective places in history etc.
