The situation in Zimbabwe is still murky but it appears that Robert Mugabe's reign is finally coming to an end. However, it remains to be seen whether this will lead to any political and economic liberalization in the country and an improvement in the people's living conditions:

Military coups have no potential to create genuine democracy. Only a bottom-up movement with popular support can create a stable democracy.

Oh, I guess they couldn't wait until he died. It would only be a few more years.

Well, at least Mugabe is no longer "president."

I just overheard on the TV that Mugabe was making it so his wife could succeed him as "president." That's why he got rid of his vice president. To clear up space.

Mugabe was the old military leader.
Emmerson Mnangagwa, his wing man.... also came from the military.

Mugabe kicked out Mnangagwa, for the sake of his wife.
Mugabe's wife was never part of the military.
    Military did not approve.

Ergo... the country always has been ruled by the military.
And they are not about to give up their power.
    It's that simple.

Back during the Cold War beginning in the late 1960's liberal Democrats sided with the Soviet Union.

Why do you think liberals hate Russia so much today ? Because liberals in America were pissed off that the Soviet Union lost the Cold War.

They ( New Left liberals) supported all of the Soviets proxy wars that were fought during the Cold War. They supported the Soviet backed North Vietnam during the Vietnam War and supported the Soviet backed ANC in South Africa and supported the Soviet backed ZAPU communist terrorist in Rhodesia.

No, not supremacy. I'm just saying if you want to run a country correctly, your first priority should not be to kill or deport all of the whites. Third world countries that do that do not succeed.

Even if so. It's not 1960, and Mozambique isn't the USSR.

Russia interference to help the GOP win the election.

Impossible. The white population supported the thug colonial rule that ended in 1975 after 10 years of war. There is no forgiveness in that one. Hence most fled with all their riches and educations out the country, leaving the country bankrupt and uneducated behind. And that is what colonialism is about... drain the country of it's riches and keep the local population totally uneducated. There simply is no compromise possible with thugs like that who are prepared to murder around to keep it like that all the way in 1975.

It will go down in history as "Putin's Revenge" for Obama and Secretary of State crooked Hillary regime changes in the world and meddling in other countries elections and meddling in the internal affairs of Macedonia , the Ukraine and even the Russian Federation.

And a few other countries like Egypt, Libya and Syria. Lets not forget Obama meddling in Israels elections.

Russia meddling in our elections they claim.

So what did Obama know ?
When did he know it ?
An why didn't he do jack **** about it ?

    Obama knew it all
He was informed of it in July of 2016.
The reason why Obama didn't do any thing about it,...because Obama was doing the same freaking **** long before Putin was.
Also Obama knew that crooked Hillary would win in a land slid, the system was rigged.

Well, that's too bad. In other situations (South Africa, Haiti) whites were kicked out and the result hasn't been good. Maybe Zimbabwe is a different situation.

The white thugs ruled those places violently and the black community remained dirt poor, in those 2 examples of yours. And it seems you forget that there is a tremendous upside to the idea that you're not ruled by utterly violent racist foreigners. I have yet to hear from people that a convicted terrorist like Mandela, was morally wrong.

I fail to see a connection to Obama. Sounds more like a GOP supporter forgot that his political party coerced with the Russians. Traitors, and utterly unpatriotic.

Don't expect it to be bloodless.

All of the people running the govt. and military there are corrupt, abusive Black Supremacists.

Mugabe wanted his young wife (with no qualifications) to take his place. He threw his main political rival in prison. Mugabe's wife approving of the move, called their rival "a snake that should have his head crushed with a rock."

Of course such leaders are always, always given a free pass and held to no real standards of moral behavior by the Leftists in the Mainstream Media.

Pretty much, but there's also the role of the ZANU-PF to consider here.

As for Mnangagwa, a lot of people think he is even more brutal and ruthless than Mugabe.

Regardless, it doesn't appear that much, if anything, is going to change in Zimbabwe...
