US involvement in Syria was minimal.. Assad dropped over 13,000 barrel bombs in civilian neighborhoods between 2011 and 2014.

Thanks for that bit from Reuters.

Speaking only for myself, I can easily remember what was learned from the Pentagon Papers--that everything we were told about Vietnam was a Bright & Shining Lie. I don't believe a word those guys say.

Many have tried to explain to me just why I should believe them or the CIA. Would you care to try? Why should I believe a single word the pentagon says?

And you are as thoroughly brainwashed as the average American. Maybe not NBC, but the Aussie media serves at the pleasure of the US Deep State.

Is this like how Russia is putting more video game pictures up as "US Armed Forced" proof?

Seems the locals were deceived into thinking they had a better chance of survival if they let the terrorists leave, not realizing that once they left with their embedded agents, they would be bombed from here to kingdom come.

    It was great for Washington.

1 - It gave them a free hand to kill as many Syrian civilians as they could in Raqqa.
2 - ISIS could now go to Yemen and kill as many civilians as it could there.

Bravo Washington, you did it again. :salute:

Either you have a short memory and are easily deceived, or you haven't been keeping up with the news. For one year the Americans were bombing the desert in Syria, and lying to the American people that they were killing the terrorists. One poster said that his son was a pilot and he spotted some terrorists, and his commander said that if you dare bomb them you're in trouble.

When the Russians entered the war, they asked the Americans why they weren't bombing the thousands of oil tankers on the road from Raqqa to Turkey, and the reply was they didn't want to kill innocent people. It didn't matter that those tankers were supporting ISIS and that thousands of Syrians were being killed by them, so Russia started bombing them.

The US realized the jig was up, so they started bombing, but not the oil tanks and tankers as the Russians were doing, but the facilities... I guess so they would be useless to Syria. In the meantime the Public Broadcasting Station was using Russian photos of the bombings, and saying they were American.

Not only did Qatar admit two weeks ago that the US, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey were supporting the terrorists who had destroyed Syria, but Russia has visual proof. Just because Washington persists on deceiving the American people with stupidities like video game photos, doesn't mean that others are deceived. The proof is being shown everywhere.

Leave it to the MSM to place a few bits of reality in between the lies and hype with the hope it wouldn't be noticed. Here it is from the same article:

"The Russian Defense Ministry is investigating its civil service employee who erroneously attached wrong photo illustrations to its statement on interaction between the U.S.-led international coalition and Islamic State militants near [Al-Bukamal], Syria," the ministry said, according to the state-run Tass news agency."

LOLOL.. Saudi Arabia and Qatar don't agree on anything.

There NEVER were thousands of oil tankers. Oil in Syria was moved via pipelines NOT trucks.

Margot, isn't it embarrassing to be proven wrong all the time? Bilal Erdogan made a fortune trading Nato arms for ISIS's stolen Syrian oil.

When you call someone a Russian, you're saying that Americans can't go against Washington's policies because we are either too stupid to see through the lies of the MSM, or we lack a sense of right and wrong, so it doesn't matter what our government does? Boy you have a low opinion of us.

You should have read the article, not just the headline.

"When the last of the convoy were about to cross, a US jet flew very low and deployed flares to light up the area. IS fighters shat their pants."

"Smuggling didn’t work out for everyone. Abu Musab Huthaifa was one of Raqqa’s most notorious figures. The IS intelligence chief was on the convoy out of the city on 12 October.

But now he is behind bars, and his story reflects the final days of the crumbling caliphate.

Islamic State never negotiates. Uncompromising, murderous - this is an enemy that plays by a different set of rules.

At least that’s how the myth goes.

But in Raqqa, it behaved no differently from any other losing side. Cornered, exhausted and fearful for their families, IS fighters were bombed to the negotiating table on 10 October.

“Air strikes put pressure on us for almost 10 hours. They killed about 500 or 600 people, fighters and families,” says Abu Musab Huthaifa.
    "

I thought you said Syrian oil went through pipes, not by tankers? Anyway they weren't Syrian tankers, they belonged to Bilal, Erdogan's second son, and they stretched from Raqqa to the Turkish border. From there they went to the refinery in Iraq and were shipped to 30 countries. ..which included Japan and Israel.

Coalition forces did not destroy any of the oil tankers since the drivers were Turkish, and the US was allied with Erdogan at the time. Those photos are Russian. Anyway the tanker trucks were in a line going from Raqqa to the Turkish border which is about 105 miles. If there are 6 tankers at the minimum in each mile, that would make it about 600 tankers at a time... assuming it is a single lane. There would also be 600 tankers returning to Raqqa.
