Arguably, apathy has elected more American presidents than any other particular reason. Apathy regarding politics is an American institution all its own.

Oh, I believe it. I believe it so well that I was able to accurately explain it. The article is not sour grapes. The article is a clear explanation of how Trump won, and you didn't question anything in it.

    That's funny.

CNN rigged the debates for Hillary.

The DNC rigged the Primary for Hillary.

Using Russian intelligence sources, the DNC and Hillary paid for an "opposition research" dossier smearing Trump with lies in order to effect the outcome of the election.

The American people recognized that the MSM was fake news when it was 100% positive for Hillary and negative towards Trump.

They were surprised Hillary lost because they believed their own lies.

We can look at this differently. Trump defeated Clinton in Michigan by 10,704 votes.

He defeated her in Wisconsin by 22,416 votes.

He defeated her in Pennsylvania by 67,416 votes.

That is a total of 100,297 votes.

Trump won the Electoral College race with 306 electoral votes. Pennsylvania was worth 20 electoral votes, Michigan 16 and Wisconsin 10. If Clinton had won all three, she would have won the election.

90,000,000 Americans stayed home on Election Day.

What is the number one reason Trump won? He got all the breaks.

You have a point. I have three email friends who voted for Trump. I couldn't believe the crap they were dishing out. I tried to tell them the truth, and I provided any number of sources to that effect. They called it "fake news."

Well, now they know. They gave up trying to defend Trump months ago.

I'll question the part where you call Bannon a white supremacist.

Blaming Nazi's and the KKK is so ironic as well since they are creations of the left and/or the Democratic Party. Their numbers are so minuscule that if every one of them that voted for Trump voted for Hillary, Hillary would still lose. Tell you what you can have the white supremacists and Nazi's and the KKK votes next election. Take 'em. We don't want them or need them.

I question the part were you blame Comey.

And I question the part where you find no fault in your party or candidate for a lousy campaign, a lack of a message, and a candidate that put forth very little effort.

For my part, I don't deny that he was elected.

But I find very ironic that whoever challenged for years Obama's legitimacy is also the one who become President with the least support.

Someday you'll wake up and when you do you'll probably feel a little foolish. Until then enjoy for all you can.

This is a partial reply from a Trump supporter on another thread. It supports some of my views as expressed in the OP.

Trump appealled to a broad spectrum of voters

So many different kinds that you may find a few kkk members in the mix

    Big deal

People who appreciate. white culture and white values that made America great are trumps core voters

And they are not white supremists who want to put black folk back in chains

    Thats silly

Then he went on to explain how my views on true conservatism were liberal.

After 8 years of the illegal alien in the oval office anything is possible.

Right... I can just imagine the regrets we are going to have about not listening to the hysterical "moral" liberal mob and not sending their favorite rapist and his enabler wife back to the Oval Office, the grief we are going to feel about not having an utterly corrupt wholly owned by special interests, donors, lobbyists and perverted Hollywood elites swamp creatures in charge of the country.

    Duh

I have been asked, why did I write the OP? What was my point?

I wrote it so that Americans don't make the same mistake again. Never allow apathy and indecision to cause a person to abrogate their responsibilities so that others will make the decision for them.

That is what 90 million Americans did. Some are on this forum. That should never happen again. We are living the results of that apathy and irresponsibility. It is not beyond the realm of possibilities that horrible mistake made by so many could result catastrophic unintended consequences, referring to a wrong move in East Asia caused by moronic tweets and statements combined with poor judgment.

Well, we could have elected a nice establishment Republican like Jeb Bush, Sandy.

    Tell me Sandy,

Just exactly what have nice establishment Republicans done for common, everyday citizens of this country over the past couple of decades?

Of course it is anyone but your god Trump fault as far as the birther issue nonsense or any thing else for that matter is concern.

Now the so call employment of the federal credit card in a period of sharp contraction of the nation economic is the proven method of end stopping a possible and even likely depression.

It is not only the accepted theory of the experts but it had been proven over time as the only known way to stop and then recover from a recession or even a depression.

See the history of the great depression for more details.
