"Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch appeared to make a statement before Sunday’s game against the Patriots in Mexico City kicked off.

Lynch, who has been sitting when the national anthem has been played before games, didn’t really change his tune as far as that is concerned. He did, however, stand when the Mexican anthem was played, which you can see in the photos below."

Really! What can one say. Calling him a worthless POS gives other POS a bad name. True it is his right to be a worthless POS's just as it is my right to call him that. SHAME on the Raiders AND the NFL.....

    What a scumbag.

And the Patriots blew out the Raiders today. Sweet.

    Well yeah, that too.

But what kind of name is 'Marshawn'? I don't recognise it as anything other than English language derived, yet it's bizarrely alien .... and pretentious as hell.

If he sits for the Mexican anthem he's a hateful bigoted racist.

If he sits for the American anthem he's a hero fighting oppression.

He should move to Mexico where the government treats it's citizens far better than America does.

    The guy's a friggin idiot.

I guess he's not protesting the treatment of blacks by Mexican police.

He must primarily be concerned about things in the US.

Most people don't have common run-ins with police regardless of color. Despite our high incarceration rate, it's STILL a blimp of the US Map(10%). This thing, has been a dividing tragedy unto the nation and a disgrace. It should have been widely condemned by everyone.

I watched the last NASCAR race of the season today. It was an exciting race, and a new champion was crowned.

The NFL can kiss my nether region. Didn't watch, won't watch.

And those "things" in the U.S. have been wildly exaggerated and hyped by the liberal media in an attempt to fan the flames of racial tension, which: 1) increases their ratings, and 2) serves their political purposes.

Ok...so that goes against Kaepernick's message of kneeling instead of sitting...to honor the United States' fallen while not disrespecting the flag?

    Which side are you on?

Remember, Kaep apologized for sitting and acknowledged the disrespect it showed for our fallen heroes. Hence why he knelt after meeting the Green Berets.

He has just honored a nation where socio-economic status determines status. Perhaps he should read this:

No, seriously. What is the ethnic origin of the name? It seems to be English based, but can't be.

Seems like you're all upset that Marshawn Lynch is less of a ***** than many of you.

For what it's worth, this is the same guy who only answered interviews with "I'm just here so I won't get fined" a few years back. The man has never been one to give any real fcks about petty stuff, so he hasn't changed.

    Deal with it.

What are the sides here? What ever happened to not taking sides? Especially over something as dumb as this.

Good for him exercising his freedom of speech in a peaceful manner.

I don't know exactly what the point he is making is (and if it is the 'bad cop' thingy - I don't agree with it)...but I applaud him doing something that he knew he would take great flak for that freaks out the weak - and doing it in a peaceful way.

The fact that it sends Trumpbots spiraling out of control while frothing at the mouth looking for a thesaurus to find words that describe their extreme hatred for him (before though, most of them probably had to find a dictionary to find out what a thesaurus actually is)...is a bonus.

To freak out about a peaceful protest is approaching the height of ignorance and ineptitude. To express actual hatred for said person successfully reaches those heights (IMO). But...that's a Trumpbot. Most of them seem to be old, 'white', uneducated, sub-90 IQ hicks who live in the sticks.

I have said it before, the national anthem is just a song and the flag is just a piece of cloth. And even if the laws do/one day say otherwise - they will still mean nothing but a song and a piece of cloth to me (probably).

And I did serve in the military (reserves), btw. They meant more to me at that time (though not as much as to the people who appear to be freaking out above). But then I grew up.

LOL...patriotic Patriots are known for cheating in order to win. Not sure why you gents still follow the NFL in the first place. I thought you've given up the habit?
