No, but it's a long and growing list! And it's often hard to keep up with all the stupidity, greed, self dealing, and lying.

 

Although this has been officially denied, few people doubt that it probably happened.

Nor do many people doubt that it an accurate assesment.

Donald Trump behaves like a spoiled fifth grader.

 

He is crooked and corrupt.

I have spent most of my career in the construction industry, and I have always scrupulously avoided doing business with Donald Trump types.

He's a lying, no bill paying, cheating schmuck. I know the type well. On that score, he has not surprised me at all.

What has been amazing (if not totally surprising) is the serial recklessness and incompetence of Trump and his team.

They do business on the clear basis that they can BS their way through any mess they make, which is how Trump ran his business.

And they clearly had no understanding of the fact that not only are people watching what they are doing (something they're clearly not used to) but that they might be actually held accountable (another thing they're not used to. They usually have their sleazy lawyers try and bluster their way out or settle).

 

I suppose no one in the construction industry ever tried to take advantage of a real estate developer or thought they had deep pockets, so just over charge. I have been in the landscape construction business for a long time and have witnessed many shady contractors.

 

You covered nothing that I was referring to with my comment. First, you need to realize I am not a die hard Trump supporter. Moderate Republicans have failed at every turn. Most of the people that vote Republican want what Trump proposed to do during his campaign, mainly: immigration reform, R&R Obama care, tax reform, etc. This is nothing new, 99% of the candidates run on this-as did the one's he beat in the primaries.

The moderates hate Trump because he had the guts to call them out on their BS. He publicly shammed them for not doing what they were elected to do. Had they done their job, there would not be a Trump.

 

This is a more accurate description of how Trump won the election.

Trump was elected by 25% of the electorate because 90 million Americans had grown apathetic and stayed home on Election Day. Many of those Americans were true conservatives. They had no one to vote for. The GOP had abandoned the true, moderate conservative. That is still true today as the Republican Congress is doing its level best to pass a law that will add between 1.5 and 1.7 trillion dollars to the National Debt.

Trump was aided by a four-month, daily barrage of anti-Clinton leaks provided by the Russians, courtesy of WikiLeaks, and Comey's re-opening of the private server investigation eleven days before the election.

Trump was also aided by the catastrophic decision by the Democrats who nominated Hillary Clinton, a candidate with enough baggage to fill a moving van.

 

Because the other chose was worse.

The importance here is not their numbers. As I pointed out in the OP, the importance lies in the fact that Trump's rhetoric attracted these losers.

We enjoy the many advantages of a free society. We have, by far, the largest economy in the world. We are the lone super power in the world. We are the envy of every other nation on the planet. That is what the establishment has provided for us. Most are proud to be Americans. They are the silent majority.

But all some people can do is bitch. The vast majority of Americans take responsibility for their lives. However, there is small minority, about 25% to 35% of Americans who complain about Congress, liberalism, movie stars, Nazism, Communism, the color of a man's skin, people who don't talk like the rest of us, government, and, of course, the establishment. Their complaints are never ending and totally purposeless. They are the loud minority.

Just this once, hopefully, the silent majority grew apathetic -- too happy in a way -- and allowed the loud minority to rule the day. Let us hope it never happens again. Why?

Allow me to reverse your question. How has the establishment harmed the citizens of this country over the decades?

Do our citizens live in poverty? Are we a weak nation? Is our economy in the toilet? If the establishment has done so much harm, why is it people from other countries want to come here?
